Anyways, where's this Nabokov talk coming from? Guys not in the NHL, and who's to say he will even return? Isles I cannot see paying for another expensive goalie Plus he has to go through waivers.

And what team will make that signing now when you possibly have Vokoun, Bryzgalov and Anderson coming off of contracts?

Oh, get well soon kid.

Is that our strategy? Pick the highly touted kids who suffer injuries in their draft year? I guess it worked out with Hossa and looks like Cowen is on his way, too. Any others spring to mind?

Wow, facing a well-rested Team USA with a couple of injuries. It's going to be tough.

So far, not good for Lehner.

How so? Were you expecting another shutout?

No. I was expecting him to know where the puck goes when it hits him and I was expecting him to not let in shots from behind the goal line. I was expecting a mentally strong goaltender that shows he is ready to bounce back from a poor game. A goalie that will hold his team in the game, when they are not at their best when playing a tired opponent.

It is only one period, one period where he had only one scoring chance against, but I expected more.

Lots of game left and I expect more as should you and Lehner himself.

Lehner did make a glorious right-to-left save with his glove. I realize that.

All I'm doing is looking at this from Lehner's perspective. Lehner will be very upset with the goal he let in, with the rebound he lost and with his focus.

Lehner improved as the period wore on, he held his team in it actually. Watch for that to carry on through the rest of this game.

All of a sudden Sweden can't score a goal? Is it the loss of Landeskog or is the Russian Bear (cub) waking up?

Sweden ties it up seconds after killing off a penalty.
