Wiercioch is leading the team in goals. Cowen's injury may have been the best thing that could have happened to him. He's finally doing what we were all getting excited about 3 years ago. Silfverberg seems to have gotten used to the smaller ice surface.

B-Sens are now tied for tops in the Eastern Conference, but with 1 game in hand they are officially tops. And they are just 1 point out of tops in the AHL overall, with *two* games in hand on the leader.

And 20 games into the season you can't say it's still early. And with his 2 points tonight Silfverberg is at 16 points, which puts him tied for 50th in the league with 13 other players -- those are yesterday's stats, so if even one of those players gets a point he's pushed out of the top-60. Pretty amazing to have the best winning percentage in the league and not have anyone in the top-50 in league scoring.

If my math is correct, Bishop (39 of 40 tonight) now has a SV % of .937, which is 4th in the league, 1 point behind McElhinney (who gave up 3 goals tonight, so Bishop could actually be 3rd).

I think Richardson's already decided that Lehner will start the next one (going for a new franchise record 10 straight).

I guess I checked the standings too early. I thought they had only played 19 games and were still 2 pts behind Syracuse.

This is good to hear.

No, you were correct; I had assumed the standings had not been updated yet. One part I got right -- they have the best winning percentage in the league.

Lake Erie has played 24 games, the B-Sens only 19. That's a difference of more than 25%. Weird stuff.

And I guess the scoring stats were also already updated when I checked. Silfverberg leads the team with 14 points and is tied for 79th in the league. Their leading goal scorers are Wiercioch, Benoit and Grant with 7 apiece.

Lehner is 6th on the team in PIMs, and has only played in 12 games.

DaCosta has a shooting percentage of 18.8 (yes, only a handful of games and that hattrick certainly helped).

Oklahoma City has Schultz (leads the league in points), Eberle, Nugent-Hopkins, Hall, Pajaarvi and others, and they are 3rd in their Division, and 7th in the Conference. I don't get it. With all that NHL talent up front they shouldn't even need to be good in their own end. Is it coaching?

A look back -- remember the Sens' streak in 09-10? 3 on 3 OT against Montreak and Karlsson with a beauty pass to win #9.

Here's a little exchange from that game day thread :

Uh...that's going a little far IMHO.

Really? Why? The kid is 19 years old and understands the game at a higher level than almost anyone on this roster. How is that going a little far?
