Yet PM isnt even carving him about his rebound control

Didn't see the first goal, but the second was 5-3 between the legs (no rebound) and the third was a guy falling over him in his crease.

Yet Lehner faced the same attack and stood ... ahem ... tall.

Some good experience for the young kids though... lots of game left.

I think the announcers got the high stick wrong - it was Cowen.

Tough to have your first shot of the year a knuckleball.

Pierre McGuire is the biggest jock-sniffer I have ever seen. Lessard would have been my MVP if he had taken him out when he bounced off of Komisarek.

Totally different caliber of forwards tonight for the Leafs compared to last night though.

Just sayin'...

Elliott to Bingo! Lehner for #1 goalie!

So my point still holds -- goals were not the result of poor rebound control.

Well the 3rd one kinda was, but i wasnt trying to say his rebound control was bad as much i was highlighting PM go to critque of Elliot

They just showed the replay of the third goal at the end of the period. #16 stood on top of Elliott and then fell on him. It's interference IMO. Of course I don't wear stripes or get my paycheck from Toronto.

As long as the boys learn and get some experience... that's all that matters in pre-season. Eyes on the new kids.

now there's a great play from Wick....took the puck from centre ice, skated all the way to the end boards, went around the net, passed it to Wiercioch at the point who shot it off the post!

Wiercioch and Karlsson are gonna make some goalies cry on the PP in a few years.

What a tough game to go to. No momentum with all the penalties, the Sens need to find a way to stay out of the box. Great hits from both teams.
I was impressed with Z. Smith, Winch, Bass and Karlsson. On the back end, Wiercioch is not ready for the NHL but he has the smarts, he made some great plays. I wasn't sold on Cowen and after tonight I really didn't think he played too well or too bad, he's not ready yet.

The crowd went nuts when Lessard ended up in the bench, he was intense in the first. The other time the crowd got rowdy is when there was a fight in the gold's!!!

Wick didn't stand out however Butler has great hands.

I can't wait to see the regulars come into the ACC on Oct 9th and show the Leafs how we can really play.

That was about bound to happen. In a few years, Cowen, Wiercioch, Karlsson are gonna be studs.

hmm some fatigue carried over from last night. Karlsson is dynamite on the offensive end, but I wasn't impressed with him on the 4th goal for the leafs...he's gotta tie up the guy in front. Hope he learns some more.

Cowen I thought was pretty good today. He even got an assist! Weircioch was up and down, but like marakh said, him and karlsson QBing the powerplay was tantilizing. Butler and Wick and Hoffman got it going in the 3rd period, but were mostly absent the rest of the way. Of course, can't blame them with the gargantuan number of penalties we seem to be taking.

Sens defi lost the physical battle today (slightly), but they played well and showed some great poise as well. At least it wasn't a total whipping. Besides, its no fun to be undefeated in the preseason.

FInally, Elliott was shaky at first, but the only questionable goal was Kessel's. The rest weren't his fault and can't say that another goalie would have definitely stopped them. Hope he bounces back. and that was a dirty hit on shannon. It's legal, but still vicious

Oh and nice to see Elliott bounce back after the shaky start.
