I think Shannon gets moved any minute or day now.

And Lee too...but maybe not, we might keep him around as the healthy scratch. He's cheap enough and adds instant injury reserve. Yeah, maybe that, we'll have like...0.8 million dollars in cap room if we trade Shannon and keep Lee.

And a 22 man roster I think. Z.Smith might again have to wait to make the NHL, but he should make sure to be prepared at all times.

I really think it's going to be either Foligno or Ruttu.

You would deal those guys over Lee or Shannon? Because you can fit under the cap if you get rid of these two - or at least Shannon.

Not enough under the cap. Moving Ruttu or Foligno let's you keep a 22 man roster and have wiggle room.

Another cap beating possibility is Kovalev or Michalek beginning the year on IR. Don't know how their rehabbing.

You can allow around 800K added on for the 22 player because he subs in for injury without call-up.

You can barely squeeze by with about 800K to spare by shedding Shannon's salary, logic would perceive that it'll be Shannon and Lee going bye bye.

I don't think he can remember.

Thanks for bumping this thread btw. I nearly shat a brick when I read the headline.

I believe I'm not speaking for just myself when I say: Dammit!

P.S. Not that I could say I got excited thinking this was a new thread, but still. Dammit!

Nope.. I don't think he has had offers from other teams either.

Could be the concussion thing too.

I think I heard the Sens were waiting to see if they had room. It appears they don't.. unless it's a Q4Q trade coming and room opens up for Winchester.

I heard something from his agent on the radio a few weeks ago and he is essentially in a holding pattern with a lot of teams. Season before last, Winchester had the 3rd lowest shooting % in the league. No matter what else he does, there isn't a lot of demand for that.
