only thing that can save this off-season for me right now is Versteeg. May as well kiss Z Michalek goodbye too. No point investing in a d-man for x amount of years with Wiercioch, Cowen, Karlsson, and this guy being NHL ready in max 2 years. Not to mention we still have Lee on the roster.

Maybe over stating things a bit, haha. He had a solid year in The SEL and as an 18 year old and putting up decent numbers... ton of tallent there.

Those were his Jr stats which is solid for a D man anyways. That's my fault.

Yeah, not exactly 1.5 ppg but I agree that .25 ppg for an 18 year old D is pretty solid.

He destroyed the Jr league there. I dont even know how you put up a 1.5 PPG as a D man in any league.

He had 5 points in 6 games at the WJC on a rather unimpressive Swedish team. Can't say I know a whole lot about him, but that stat immediately jumped out at me. WJC success is usually a great indication of NHL potential.

just throwing this out there, but what does this say about Phillips' future? Cowen, Weircioch, Karlsson, and now Rundblad. Plus Gryba in the wings. UFA next season too. I get that eventually he will be replaced, but with the youth movement that is the NHL, you don't want to keep these prospects out of the league too long.
