That's the 4th time the Caps have blown a 3-1 lead in a series. Wow. And the first time the 8th seed has come back to beat the 1st seed.

I'm still amazed the Habs pulled it off. Halak played out of his mind in the last two games. Unbelievable.

And all this after OV calls out Halak as being shaky in Game 2... wow... never ever do that...

I got every series wrong in the East and every series right in the West. I'm going AGAINST my gut for round two in the East. Montreal and Philly in the Conference Final.

I'm not sure if Fleury can outplay Halak in this round. We'll see if he crashes back to earth or keeps playing the way he did against Washington. Do you all think he can steal another series against a much more experienced team?

If Halak can keep on playing like he has in the past two games... the Pens are going to have one hell of a tough time... personally I don't think Halak will be able to keep it going... but my first round predictions were way off so what do I know.

I absolutely think Halak can get the job done and I don't think it's a matter of crashing back to earth for Halak. He's a great goalie period. He's not playing way over his head. Just look back to his net-minding in the Olympics for proof.

Fleury will continue to be exposed as will the Pens Defensive game. Both of those areas are advantage Montreal. Don't forget that the PP for Montreal is arguably better than the Sens and should make short work of the Pens as well. Habs in 6.

I was dead wrong for the East which is why I will go against my gut and say the Habs.

My instincts are telling me Halak won't be able to continue his play and stone the Pens. It's also hard to pick a Jacque Martin lead team to defeat the Cup champs but there it is. I'm going against the grain here.

I think after what we witnessed last night we can all see that anything is possible, anything. Man I wish we had beat the Pens, even more so now.

No way Halak stops Crosby... There isnt a goalie or team for that matter than can stop that half human half machine...

Habs will give them a run, somewhat similar to what the sens did, but ultimately Crosby will take over this series... Again!

Not I. I don't need both Habs AND Leaf fans holding playoff series victories over our heads do you? Seriously do you think a Sens team with Phillips and Alfie playing through injuries that required surgery, coupled with missing Michalek, Kovalev and Kuba would have stood a chance against the Habs and Halak? At least we had a shot vs. the Pens due to MAF and suspect d-zone play.

I don't think it's a good idea to second-guess Halak.

Crosby was a non factor in the series deciding game. I expect the Habs to take notice. Ottawa's PP ripped apart Pittsburgh. The Habs have an arguably stronger PP. Crosby won't own this series by a long shot.

Good point. I say he'll be very shaky and will tremble in the presence of THE Crosby aka the greatest player to ever lace them up. Sarcasm

Now if we could just get a Penguin player to say the same thing we'll be all set. HappyDance1

No chance Crosby is shut down in crunch time like Ovechkin. I'm not counting Montreal out completely, but let's just say it was a nice run and what they did to Washington will not be soon forgotten.

Lets review shall we:

Pittsburgh has the worst team GAA of any team in round 2. 3.17 GAA
Pittsburgh has the second worst PK of any team in round 2. 68.2%

Sure Montreal's GAA isn't much better at 3.14 GAA but they faced Ovechkin, Backstrom et al. where as Pittsburgh faced a hobbled Ottawa team.
Montreal's PK is 97% vs. the best PP in the league (Regular season)

Of the remaining goalies in round two only Luongo has a worse GAA than MAF (2.75 GAA) coupled with a round two worst 0.890 save percentage.

Halak is at 2.46 with an off the charts 0.939 save percentage that is only bested by Boucher's unreal 0.940 save percentage.

Come on Cap'n... we all know that stats go out the window in the playoffs... it will come down to who wants it more, who's goalie steps up and who's forwards put the puck in the net.
