FFS, is Kuba not playing? I'm starting to have a hard time justifying why we have Filip "The Ghost" Kuba. The Diddler NEVER plays. Hey Kuba, you better be on death's doorstep, it's not as if this is the most important stretch of the year or anything.

Shannon is a 13th forward, he's a plug for when a top offensive guy goes down. That's what he is, Zack Smith is already a better player and fits in a lot better in Clouston's system. Couldnt be happier to see him back in the lineup. Shannon might not see another game this year if The Sens go on a bit of a roll.

I think everyone is getting a little sick of Kuba in terms of that. Better now then in the playoffs, hopefully that's everyones mind set in reguards to him.

Depending on what happens in the next two weeks we could be depending on a lot more than just one sub 21 year old next year. If the Sens miss the playoffs this year, I wouldn't be shocked to see all the UFAs walk/rights traded: Volchenkov, Cullen, and Sutton, and some dead roster weight traded: Kelly, Ruuttu, Leclaire, Winchester, Kuba?? etc. If the Sens miss the playoffs or don't go deep I wouldn't be shocked to see some new faces here next year. I'm thinking along the lines of Cowen, Lee (guaranteed unless he's traded), Z Smith, perhaps one of Hennessey, Keller, or St. Pierre.

Is there a reason Kovalev is missing from your list of those who could be gone next season? 0 points and -10 since the break. And you call *Kelly* the roster dead weight?

Yeah, no one's gonna touch Kovalev at his contract value and output

That's my good luck post for the Sens. I love them and there's no other team I give a Dung about, it's time to do it for the fans as well as themselves!

Apparently Michalek's injury is MUCH more serious than we thought.

It's OK, we have a lot of "depth". Wink

Specially at LW.

Haha, yeah. We have some depth, just not depth that can score 20+ goals.

Also sitting: Erik Karlsson. I would give him and pen and a binder and I would have him write down where the right D-man was at all times for both teams and what he's noticing about them. Coming up from Bingo would be Derek Smith.

I believe 100% in rewarding the guys in the AHL for their hard work - and these three guys have been literally carrying the B-Sens for a while now.

Next call up: either Holt or Brodeur. I've seen enough out of Leclaire for this year thanks.

About the only thing I agree with there.

Keller, St.Pierre and Hennessy have been better than Winchester, Shannon and Regin. If it's only because they're playing in the AHL, I would find out. There's no chance these three guys would be playing for my team right now - I don't think it's that hard to even explain - they deserve the chance to come up and play as a line like they're doing in the A and see if they can replicate the success they've had down there.

As for Karlsson, again, this kid will be amazing, but he needs to take a step back and see the game from afar.

And don't think it's just me who thinks that these AHL guys deserve a chance, there's no way they haven't caught Tim Murray's eye - who has Bryan Murray's ear.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Keller up next year. St Pierre's +/- is way too low right now considering they'd need him as a third line player most likely.

As for Karlsson, teams have figured out that he's easy to push off the puck and if you put pressure on him he's going to turn the puck over. He's been playing a lot more reserved as a result. He's going to have his ups and downs for the rest of this year but some off-season tune ups in the gym will do him wonders. Again, I wouldn't be shocked to see him paired with Cowen next year. I know, inexperienced, but you may as well get the future playing together and used to one another.

This really concerns me. Not just for this season, but Michalek has had extensive knee damage earlier in his career. Do we know if it's the same knee/leg?

Agreed on everything except for matching Karlsson and Cowen up next year. I think that's suicide, otherwise, Karlsson's gonna add some meat to his bones and next year will be even better than this year - and he's already been awesome.

Cowen...is a tough one to figure out. It's a disaster to put him on an NHL roster unless he rehabs the crap out of his leg. And we can't just take his word, it has to be a Sens supervised summer for him. Even if he does, Spurgeon is heading to the AHL next year, meaning that Cowen could take over all PP QB duties for Spokane...which could be amazing for his development IMO.

Yet another tough decision coming for Murray and co.

Just found it for myself, Michalek hurt his right knee earlier in his career, he's now injured with a LEFT leg injury.

I'm gonna try to find out. This concerns me BIG time. I wouldn't be surprised if it's next year when we next see Michalek.

Okay, but that's better than the other knee which almost had to be amputated.

I'm all for bringing guys up. Looks like we have some scoring threats in the minors right now and some tradeable guys on the roster. I say let Cullen, Volchenkov, Winchester, Donovan, and Campoli walk, buy-out Cheechoo, bring up Keller and Smith, sign Regin and Foligno to reasonable extensions, and take care of the goalie situation. I'd look to trade Leclaire to Philly or Dallas if possible and go after Turco or Nabokov with all the FA money saved. It's a stretch but the goalie situation has to be resolved...
