You might want to hit "Refresh" on your browser, maybe purge your cache. We're not playing the Leafs, and I'm pretty sure neither is Picard.

Oops, my mistake. Sorry for doubting you, SSF.

Maybe TSN had a disk crash and had to recover from backup Smile

In other news, Pamela Anderson will be on Dancing with the Stars.

At the Rangers game last night, there was a guy wearing a NYR Rangers jersey. OK, that's not so weird. But it was #6, with Redden on the back. OK, that's a little weird. And it had a "C" on the front. Now, that's "usher your children to a safe distance" weird.

Updated the game notes, a couple game day previews and the latest updates on the first post.

It should also be noted that the Sabres lost again in regulation so the Sens have another opportunity tonight to gain some much needed ground if they hope to hang onto the division.

This is going to be a tougher game then a lot of people expect. Carolina's been on a tear of late...

I totally agree with you. The big advantage the Sens have though is that Ward has a back injury and they just traded away Joe Corvo. It's still going to be tough though as they're on an 11 and 3 run right now.

My kid was watching Sports Connected and those idiots (yeah, the same guy who said "They need more from Crosby") were discussing the trade deadline acquisitions. They basically said the Canadian teams in the East stood pat (huh, just because you make a trade *before* the deadline doesn't mean you are standing pat -- both of the Ontario games made changes, and in Habs land they had the GM resign); while Buffalo "loaded up".

Buffalo got Raffi ****ing Torres. That's loading up? Umm, the Devils brought in Kovalchuk. I'd say that was loading up but, of course, it didn't happen on March 3rd so they didn't even bother discussing it.

Buffalo is a Miller team -- they usually win 2-1 or lose by a similar score (unless Miller is not playing). The addition of Raffi Torres does not change that very much; certainly not to the point of calling it "loading up".

Ward's out, though, isn't he? I don't think it was in the 1st post initially (just checked, it's there now). Who's been in goal for the 6-0 streak?

Interesting, Legace and Peters are both on a 3-game winning streak. They've split the duties taking over from Ward (who, incidentally, lost his last two starts). Peters had a .970% in the game against the Leafs so I'm guessing they go with the hot hand. Thing is, the Leafs had upgraded on D while losing on offense. Sure, they put up 34 shots, but how many were quality chances? If the Sens are clicking they can certainly put up that many shots -- and lots more -- and have the offensive depth the Leafs cannot match. Streak or no streak, if they work their tails off this is not going to be close. I'll say Peters gets pulled in the second or to start the third.

I'm expecting big things out of Cullen tonight; at least a couple of points anyway. It's been three games now and you're against your old team. I'm looking forward to seeing Sutton dress too.

He's there now. Murray said 1 or 2 games but knowing how Kuba is once listed day to day I'll say he's out 2 weeks.

He really hasn't shown much yet, has he? I don't think he's had enough time to adjust to the new system and linemates. He has 18 games remaining before it starts to really count. Certainly he hasn't made me forget Jonathan Cheechoo but I'm sure he will before it's all over.

Apparently, they're trying him at Center. Obviously, trying to force him into a LW role isn't going to work. He has a better chance of producing at Center on the 4th line than he does at LW on the 2nd.

Here's hoping he's at least a third line center by the time the playoffs hit.

Can't wait to see Sutton lay someone out. Personally, Im expecting big things from him in terms of what he brings personally. If being traded to a team that might have a long playoff run in them from a team that had no shot AND having played for expansion teams his entire career, if that doesnt motivate you then nothing will. Sutton will be an absolute beast in Ottawa in his role.

I seem to recall being just as excited the last time we had the top two leaders in blocked shots only to be very disappointed. I will reserve judgement for now and not get my hopes up too high.
