Get back to basics. Stop looking for the perfect shot and just unload. Crash the net and score some ugly goals. The sense of urgency for this team is non-existent. Ifthe goal differential comes back to bite them in the Donkey, this is the game that killed them.

People forget that this isnt some Peewee team they are playing, these are professionals and a lot have been drafted by NHL clubs despite not playing in The NHL. They have just as much pride as Canadians do, probably a bit more at this point.

Took The Swiss to a shootout, they should be pround. Again, this game should have never been looked at as a game where they should blow out the other team, and it was which is the problem. They have a world class goaltender, professional NHLers, a good coach, and a lot of other things.

That teams attitude better change because The Swedes, Russians, even The Americans are going to light them up. Not only did that game show that Canada's game is no where near perfect, every team now playing them knows they can be beat... good luck Canada, gonna need it.

no but wow you should score goals congrats to them, im saying hiller had a huge game and made some great saves

Yup, Brodure had to make some great saves too. Hiller played great but so did The Swiss. Even still, total lack of respect from Canadians saying Hiller almost beat them, not their teams. Probably what most Canadians are thinking, so dont feel too bad.

Never any credit to the other team. Laughable.

If they didn't have Hiller they would not have competed. Period.

and we would have iced this game if the refs actually called a penalty when the Swiss player hacked Crosby in the face, causing him to bleed from his nose.

Sweden won the Gold after losing a game in the round robin. You don't have to be perfect to win the Gold.

Hiller score the 2 goals?

They had a heck of a game. I only saw the OT, and in OT I saw a lot of hooking, holding, interference go uncalled. If that's the way it was earlier in the game then the refs certainly had a hand in the outcome.

Still, it should not have been close. Canada has some things to work on. Like Pronger not worrying about trying to put someone through the boards *after* they passed the puck off. That second goal (on the delayed penalty to Pronger) was on him IMO. He looked quite ordinary out there.

Im pretty sure their back up "beat Team Canada" last time. Guess Gerber should be given more credit, especially on this board then he was ever given.

The Canadian PP was awful so even if they got that 4 mins doesnt mean they would have scored.

So the blamming of the refs start now? Swiss had what? 14 mins in penatlies? It's the refs fault for missing a call?

Trying to justify what happend is kind of pathetic.

Nope, but you have to beat The Swiss in regulation.

What a costly game potentially. Now Canada has to beat the U.S. in order to control it's fate. Losing a point in this game poses a potential problem. With this format only 4 teams go through to the Medal round. 3 pool winners and the best team not to win. There is a real possibility that there is another team with 6 points who doesn't win their pool.

Potentially, this game costs Canada a medal. That's the reality right now.

Pronger is a selfish prick and that play sums up his entire attitude. He cheap shoted me, lets cost the team in a tight game. Pronger does it in other ways then a lot of the others, but that attitude is all around the team.

"Check your ego's at the door", not gonna happen on this team. They were laughing on the bench during the shootout, that honestly turned me on that team. They dont represent the hard work and character that the other Canadians representing my country do. They shouldnt even march beside them in the closing cermimonies with that attitude. Made me sick and the worst part was it was Iginla and Morrow, two guys who should be totally focused and worried about what is going on the ice, not talking about something "hilarious" during the game.

There is no way to justify this turd Canada threw up tonight. They got outworked, and it cost them, potentially severely.

Diddling disgraceful on home ice.
