Nah, not really. Not like he is being traded out of everywhere because they need to get rid of him. He gets dealt because teams want him and signed for the same reason.

If the difference is even $1.5 million I think I'd rather go with Seidenberg. I know he's left handed, but maybe he would be a good fit with Karlsson?

Deeepends. If A Train gets 3.5 and Seidenberg gets 2, Ill go with A Train. Anything over that Ill take Seidenberg based on the fact it eats up a lot less of the cap for guys who are basically the same player.

If those are the terms I snag both, lol.

Phillips - Volchenkov
Seidenberg - Karlsson
Kuba - Carkner
Campoli

I would be thrilled with that defence next year/going into the playoffs.

I actually like that group of defense.

Anyways, I dont see Seidenberg getting more then 2.5 TOPS. Hell, Ohlund got what? 3.75 last year... Thought he would get 5 for sure.

Ohlund got his money. It's front loaded and he'll retire before the 7 years is up.

Ah, ok. Fair enough then. That being said a 2 year deal will look like 7 to Seidenberg. Anyways, I would love if Murray could lock Cullen and Seidenberg up after this season. Both good character guys and could fit right in.

2 goals this year, it doesn't look like it.

I personally don't think the goals matter much, it's the assists if he's got a hard shot, means the goalies are having issues with the shot and there are rebounds. I'm still curious though...

He does have 20 assists playing on the 2nd PP unit. Beyond that I have no idea.

I dunno man...that's a tough one. Cullen is in line for 2.75 minimum and Seidenberg will get 2.5+, I feel pretty confident saying that, I think he'll be well compensated for taking a one year chance with Florida and being amazing for them - and now his stock has gone through the roof. If I was the Florida GM, I'd be dancing the jig. Especially with the ultimate showcase tonight.

We'll see, but how do we possibly add Cullen and the D-man we get at the deadline to next years roster? Gonna be tough.

Yeah, I noticed that. Something like 1 goal and 8 assists on PP2 for Florida. No offense to them, but I can't imagine what their PP2 looks like in terms of forwards. Interesting if he comes with some built in offense as well - which apparently he does according to Florida fans.

Also means this crude dude is getting out of our range for acquiring him in terms of what Florida will want back.

Do it now though Murray, don't wait until the actual deadline day where the prices are dumb. Our team is close, get a tough Diddler for the back end and call it a day.

I wouldnt, at all. The days of the over paid 3rd liners and 5, 6 d men are over. Those guys wont be getting more then what you just put out there.

There's only something stupid like 72 hours between the end of the Olympic roster freeze and the trade deadline, so we'll be stuck trying to pick him up at the deadline regardless.

He does have a pretty big shot. He was actually on the 'Canes 1st PP for a bit. John "The Man of the Fecal" Rodenburg claims that "a little bird" told him the Senators intend to acquire Seidenberg after the Olympic break.

I heard that. Who is JR? I'm not familiar with their names. Who is with York on Healthy Scratches?

You have JR, Steve and Jungle Jim on TGOR, and Steve Lloyd is with Jason York on Healthy S.

JR is the dip$hit on TGOR. York is with that Dung for brains Steve "Sweaterman" Lloyd, who proclaimed the following prior to Game 7 of the NJD / CAR series last year: "Brodeur. At home. Game 7. Nuff said."

Nuff said, indeed, Sweaterman. POLL: Which D-man will the Sens acquire on/by March 3rd - Page 26 62136
