True, but why do we have to lose to this putrid team?

Did I bring this on the team? Did I anger Jeebus when I compared Alfie to him and even went as far as super-imposing his face over him? Sarcasm ............

nah.

But after the dust settles, he's still Marty.... Elliott is still Elliott.

Dumbest play of the year from Carkner. He doesn't do stupid stuff like that often thank goodness.

Funny, earlier they had the lilttle video on him and his roots. I was mentioning how he fights but it's not the staged fighting we had when Grats was here. I haven't seen one of those *stupid* fights in a couple years, it felt like. Then bang, this fight starts up when there's nothing (yet) going on in the game.

That was one of them stoopid fights that had no reason for being other than "entertainment". I wouldn't be surprised if he can't play for a while after that one (or if he plays, he really shouldn't be and it'll show). So we're down Karlsson and a good Carkner.

It's just that tonight is one of those nights; I feel sorry for my wife; she's stranded in the middle of a bunch of Leaf fans .... poor girl.

tough to get in a rhythm when you are shorthanded for 8 of 20 minutes (ie. 4 penalties to none), afraid to forecheck for fear of touching the other team and get a penalty (ie. Carkner elbow).

we cant win this game, turn the channel if you want to save your self some mental anguish.

i cant say it enough, this is a crock coming straight from the nhl offices. embarrassed that this is the sport i love. the real story could have been washington and ottawa on thursday but they choose to greive with BB

Yeah, I don't buy that. Play harder. Let's go.

Who paid off Elliott to suck? Or the team to play like lazy arseholes? Or all of our players forgetting the rules?

It's hard, though. I only saw the first 5 minutes or so before I got summoned to help with supper, but during that time I saw two penalties against the Sens and I only agreed with one of them -- Picard. And I saw at least two cases of the Leafs player tucking a Sens' players' sticks under his arm and going for a little ride, and at least another two cases where the Leafs played was all over the Sen trying to go to the net, except the puck was somewhere else. Holding the stick and interference.

Hard to "play through" when you are short-handed that much without doing much. You can't be aggressive if you're getting called all the time; and at the same time the other team is allowed to not only be aggressive but downright play against the rules.

There's time left, though.
