I don't think that would be a good trade for Chicago, almost seems like it is a salary cap move for something bigger.

I recall reading in this very forum that they weren't. In fact it was us (the Ottawa Senators) who were truly diddled.

Yeah, I don't see how they can do anything. Ladd for McKee? how much does McKee make?

I know this is just a rumor, but it doesn't make sense. Ladd is an RFA after this season though...

That would help them a little for sure. For this season anyway. Next season they'd still be over if not kissing the cap.

Niemi, if he keeps playing well this season will probably go up to 950 or maybe even 1.

Talk about going from one big salary to another with Huet too. They get rid of Khabby and still have Huet's monstrous 5.625 until 2012-2013. Good luck getting rid of that contract. I like Huet, but not for that much.

Now's the time to help themselves out a little, then they can look at helping themselves out a lot at the draft if they want to wait that long.
