You know what's worse than a guy who blows his own horn? A guy who asks people to blow it for him. GAME DAY: Ottawa Senators @ Buffalo Sabres - 7:00pm ET - Wed. Feb. 3. 2010 - Page 15 62136

People should be blowing more then my horn.

Agreed. That was an unreal performance by Spezza. The second and third periods were much more enjoyable to watch than the egg the Sens laid in the first.

Elliott was HUGE in the first period, and really, throughout the rest of the game. He outduelled Miller tonight, no easy task.

Alfie, what more can you say, his play speaks for itself. And I know it may seem an exaggeration but in quite a few facets of Karlsson's game he looks better than his partner, Kuba. GAME DAY: Ottawa Senators @ Buffalo Sabres - 7:00pm ET - Wed. Feb. 3. 2010 - Page 15 235689

I don't think it's an exaggeration at all. Kuba has been less than impressive this season. Perhaps last year's success set the bar too high. Karlsson has more offensive talent than the rest of the D-corps combined.

I'll give you credit on this one. You called this from the get-go. I couldn't wrap my head around it though, there was something special last year, then I thought teams had the book on him because he digressed so much. He had a chance when Leclaire went down and didn't do so hot. But now? I have nothing more to say than, congratulations Elliott, you are doing some incredible work right now!

There was something special in his first camp, his first game, and his first NHL season. The guy has all the tools, always has, it's been obvious but people look at the now and not at what can or will be. Same thing with Karlsson with a lot of people. They are both rookies still trying to find their games and find their way in the pro's.

Elliott, again, has every tool to be a true number 1 and a star in the league.

If there's one thing you probably know more than anyone, it's goaltending. If you say he can keep this up, then I'm inclined to listen.

Gotta watch it there because it is not easy playing with a rookie on the point. Kuba has to do more then just be productive, he has to play a way more conservative game because he is playing with Karlsson. That should not go unnoitced or disregaurded by anyone, Kuba has been a really good partner for Karlsson. Credit where credit is due.

He's not going to keep this up, no one can. Can he be as consistant as a Kipper or a Miller or a Luongo, I think he can.

In fairness to the team, even though Elliott's play has been outstanding, the whole team is playing hard in front of him. Each guy wants to win, for the guy beside him. That's the biggest reason for this streak imo.

Again, I'm not trying to sell Elliott short, but I can't remember this team being this cohesive or on the same page...and that includes the cup run. It's fun to be a Sens fan again!

Will he get the chance to keep going though? I wonder if/when Leclaire is going to be given another shot to get in there and prove he's the #1.

No shot in hell. Elliott is the number 1. Leclaire is once again in a position where he lost his spot because he can't stay healthy. He's an amazing goaltender, a true number 1 as well but if he cant play then he's not helping anyone. For now, Leclire is a great insurence policy. Could be trade bait in the off season to a team like Edmonton.

With any luck, Leclaire won't be needed to play any more games this season.

Surprised to see the number of sens fans in Buffalo. Hope that's a new trend developing!

I think he has like the worst puck-luck in the NHL.
