Team Canada roster -- Fisher got jobbed

What's taking so long, why don't they just release the roster?

You know, after two years of talking about the Olympic team, why not start the announcement of the team by talking some more?

Another message from my friend. He said that he has confirmation that Mike isn't on the team and that in fact he says Mike was never really being considered.

And Martin St.Louis and Lecavallier are both apparently NOT on the team. I find that really surprising if true.

He migth of been talk about but I agree... If Canada would have chosen a Fisher over a Richards or Staal and lose... Can you imagine the critisizm for Stevie Y.... The same kind as to not bring Crosby in Turino...

Stevie Y can't win unless Canada wins gold. If he leaves Fisher off the team and Canada doesn't win gold and Fisher continues to play well then he'll be blamed for not taking the hot player. If he leaves Richards or Staal off then he's blamed for taking unproven players.

The only way taking fisher and Canada losing works for Yzerman is if FIsher leads the Olympics in scoring.
