Team Canada roster -- Fisher got jobbed

Russia went for sick offense as well, I hope Brodeur and Luongo - not to mention our D - is prepared for it. We certainly aren't fielding what I would consider an optimum roster.

So you were expecting Jay Bo, Green, J Staal, Savard, Fisher and St-Louis to be on... I am not surprised that none of them other than maybe St-Louis are left off... This is almost the exact team I would have picked....

I wasnt expecting all of them on the team but the fact that none of them along with Doan made it is just weird. Yzerman said he'd pick based on who's hot, and E.Staal and Richards are certainly not. Dont get me wrong the team looks solid and absolutely great, but there are def some picks that dont make sense. Especially Bergeron on and St.Louis off

I'm with you, there are 2 bad picks in there. Not that they're bad players, but for the makeup of this team, they're bad picks. St.Louis and Doan/Fisher should have been in and Staal and Bergeron should have been out.

I think our D and goaltending is going to be rock solid...if we win gold, it will be on the strength of our back end that's for sure...not that crew of forwards.

Bergeron is a joke. Walking concussion.

Morrow is a surprise too, didn't hear too many people putting him on their lists.

Richards is having an awful year.

I don't mind putting Staal on there because he has game changing abilities.

D looks great.

That being said, I quite frankly don't really care what happens in this tournament because there are too many guys on this team that I don't really care for ....

For some reason I think that Thornton-Healtey-Marleau line will choke badly and produce next to zero in this tournament.

It's all good anyways, 2-1 odds that the guy is out with a concussion by the time the Olympics run around, so they'll be able to name a replacement for him.

Not sure if it's been brought up but there is not 'taxi squad' this year.

That's legitimate Imo. I don't agree with your take on the rest of the picks you don't like, but that one is questionable, big time. Richards' name never even seemed to come up, despite the fact that he's having a fantastic year. I guess I'll defer to the experts on that one.

I'm not convinced they keep that line intact. I'm pretty sure they'll try Nash and Heatley together but that's just an opinion.

Q&A time...hope someone asks them what the Diddle they were thinking taking Bergeron.

I think Thornton won't be an issue...I don't feel so warm about Marleau though.

Thornton will be great and him and Heatley will do just fine. If not they could always put Heatley with Nash and Getzlaf then Thornton can pretty much pass to anyone. Its Marleau that Im worried about. Oh well I guess we'll just have to wait and see, in the meantime GO CANADA GO!
