The really tough choices that I don't personally agree with
Bergeron - should have been Fisher
E.Staal - should have been Martin St.Louis

St. Louis is fantastic, but Staal single-hnadedly carried the Canes (a team that had no business whatsoever being there) to the ECF last season. That, I'm sure, had as much to do with it as anything. You can count on him (not that you can't count on St.Louis...) in the clutch. I have no problem with that selection.

Bergeron...well, we'll see.

I explained why i like Bergeron, Marleau is playing great this year, Morrow is a great gritty player who can score and Staal I agree hasnt been playing very good but has turned it around since being back.... I dont know if I would have picked Fisher or Lecavalier or St-Louis or Carter... I like the mix of the team...

This team is not what I expected. No Jay Bo, no green, no J.Staal, no Savard, no Fisher, no St.Louis. I dont get the Richards and Bergeron picks. And hopefully that Sharks line doesnt choke for us, I dont trust Marleau on the big stage

Completely disagree with this. Staal is not a great player on a bad team...he's been a minus player all throughout his career even with the Stanley Cup appearances.

Not happy with Bergeron or Staal, but I'm good with Morrow and Marleau. Don't really understand how Bergeron and Staal beat out Fisher and St.Louis. Very strange.

According to Yzerman watching Boston and listening to people around the lead Bergeron's name came up all the time ( I guess more than Fishers) and he can play all 3 forward positions.

So you were expecting Jay Bo, Green, J Staal, Savard, Fisher and St-Louis to be on... I am not surprised that none of them other than maybe St-Louis are left off... This is almost the exact team I would have picked....

You're seriously complaining about Niedermayer?

Marleau, Thornton would be questionable if not for the ridiculous success they've had thusfar. Marleau can play in any position and is a responsible ppg forward. I really don't see the question mark there. As for Thornton, he's leading the league in points...that's all there is to it. I question his big game mentality, but it wasn't possible for them to leave him off. Again: not a question mark going into today.

I differ with this team on four forwards. They might as well have just picked all the Canadians off their roster and gotten over with it.

I wonder how Jordo's taking the news. He had St. Louis on his team and a Jersey bet was made on this one apparently.

Fair enough. I think they'll miss St.Louis and Doan personally, but I guess they can fill in if there are injuries from now until then. You know Heatley will start to coast now.

I'm surprised Brad Richards didn't get a spot over Patrice Bergeron...if you want to talk about speed, vision, PK ability, PP ability, championship experience, etc...terrible pick.

Russia went for sick offense as well, I hope Brodeur and Luongo - not to mention our D - is prepared for it. We certainly aren't fielding what I would consider an optimum roster.

I wasnt expecting all of them on the team but the fact that none of them along with Doan made it is just weird. Yzerman said he'd pick based on who's hot, and E.Staal and Richards are certainly not. Dont get me wrong the team looks solid and absolutely great, but there are def some picks that dont make sense. Especially Bergeron on and St.Louis off

I'm with you, there are 2 bad picks in there. Not that they're bad players, but for the makeup of this team, they're bad picks. St.Louis and Doan/Fisher should have been in and Staal and Bergeron should have been out.

With that said. Go Canada!
