Karlsson must be pissed right now, he should be in the WJC instead he's in the press box.

Perhaps but he's got to channel that energy into his practice time and in the next game he has a chance to play in. When he gets back into the lineup he's got to make it impossible for them to take him out.

How is this helping Karlsson's development, when he's just sitting in the press box game after game?

I can't imagine this will continue much longer... but until someone plays themselves off the "D" pairs... it is the way it is I guess.

I suppose you don't mess with a winning formula...but come on, how is he supposed to learn the game from the press box?

Also, you have to ask yourself this question: who's development as a blueliner is more important to this team Karlsson or Campoli/Picard?

Maybe Karlsson for Filatov is possible?

I'll be surprised if this goes beyond three games even if we win. I don't see sitting him three games as being a huge issue or blow to his development. Wilson did the same thing with Schenn this year. If it goes 4 or 5 games... then I'll be a bit surprised.

I suppose the kid has to understand the nuances of the game and understand that he plays a role for this team. We'll see if he gets back into the lineup in the next couple of games for something other than injury replacement.

I could see him in the Islander game tomorrow night personally. He'll have been out long enough by then, it's a back to back situation. A "lesser" opponent as it were as well.

Even if Campoli has another multi-point game?

My prediction still stands: 3 point night for Fisher.

Sorry Colorado but you came into town on the wrong night.

Go SENS Go!

Maybe our other Olympians will step it up as well. Kuba, Michalek, Ruutu.

Karlsson hasn't played since Alfie went down. I'm telling you, it's not because he is in the doghouse, it's just that his ride is gone.

Murray has to deal with this problem because Karlsson can't be sitting in the press box game after game. Either send him back to Sweden or make a trade to get him in the lineup. He's not learning anything by sitting in the press box and I'll be pretty mad if this keeps up.

And if Kuba didn't blow chunks then Karlsson would still be in the lineup probably but since he does, he forced a rookie to try and cover up for him. Not the ideal situation.

And if he ices that puck and it goes wide, we lose the face off and Montreal scores. What happens then? It may have been a multi-point night, but when he first shot that puck I had a fit. Glad it went in, but that was certainly more a panic/desperation move than skill.

Well I did say I could see him. Sarcasm

I guess some players can't do anything right. GAME DAY: Colorado Avalanche @ Ottawa Senators - 7:00pm ET - Wed. Dec. 30th, 2009 - Page 9 159628

That puck goes wide 9 out of 10 times. He was extremely lucky.
