The biggest issue I see tonight is some guys heads may not be in the game 100%. With this being the last game before XMAS and what not... hopefully we can keep the focus and pressure and get the win.

Pierre was asked specifically about the last game before Christmas, and he said that the home team is usually at a disadvantage there -- they are thinking about all the friends/relatives visiting, cooking/cleaning, decorations, presents, etc. The visiting team has either done all that before they left for the trip, or will be doing it when they get back home, so they don't have it on their minds.

I can buy the first "reason" (they'd already done it) but it's flimsy at best.

When I heard earlier in the day that Donovan was accompanying the team on the road trip I said right away "He's got to be ready to play". Sure, they continue on the road after tonight, but you'd better believe it they are coming home for Christmas in-between. It made absolutely no sense for Donovan to head out of town with them unless he was at least a game-time decision.
