Wow. Winchester drops back to the 4th line eh? Booboo got his wish, sorta.

Fisher on line 3? I doubt this is the way it all works out.

Probably not. That's just a mistake in the order. But it's pretty clear which line has Donovan and Shannon on the wings. No mistake there.

So, it's just our luck that the drafts didn't boast players the calibre of Crosbys, Malkins or Ovechkins (and 90% of drafts probably don't, frankly, as these are generational players). But let's not act like we didn't tank either.

The good news is it's not necessarily necessary. Tampa and Carolina, for example, won with deep teams with a number of very good players, but not generational talents.

I'd say if our back end (Lehner, Karlsson, Cowen, Wiercioch specifically) develops as it can and we find a way to add some top-notch offensive players, we'll be in very good shape. I know Murray shot it down, but I can't help feeling that the addition of Filatov would be great for the organization.

When will the Filatov deal be announced?

I suspect the ORDER of lines is like this:

Michalek - Regin - Alfredsson
Cheechoo - Fisher - Kovalev
Ruutu - Kelly - Neil
Donovan - Winchester - Shannon

Winch on the 4th and Regin gets a chance on the top line.

GO SENS GO!!!

+1 on all points.

This years draft will be all forwards for the Sens, guaranteed.

Oh man, yeah for sure. I've been waiting impatiently for our Big 3 on D and Lehner to be ready so we can move forward. That'll put us at one of the best young Ds in the league IMO and one of the better young goalies to boot.

I'm excited. Ahhhhh!

So Ruutu gets bumped up and Winchester finds himself on the 4th line....very odd choice. Cheechoo gets to try his luck with the Fisher King. Should be interesting to say the least.

When you have 2 forwards come back at the same time a shuffle is pretty well inevitable. Should be interesting.

Not really though, they've been listing the Kelly line as line 3 everywhere I've read recently.

True enough. I'm just surprised Donovan is good to go already. Didn't he say a week to 10 days yesterday?

Plus...the Carolina Hurricanes won the Cup because:

1.Ward was unconscious. One of the singular best performances (recently) in the post-season.

2.We had obliterated the Sabres D. They were the walking wounded.

3.After they had beaten the Sabres (who they probably shouldn't have), they faced the 8th seed from the West.

It was ALL on their side that year.

Similar road was laid out for the Tampa Bay Lightening team the year they won as well.

This is going to be a rough game tonight. Dono and Neiler will be smashing into anything with a Pens logo on. HappyDance1
