Why was Campoli playing forward? What happened to Foligno?

I dont think you let Elliott play back to back after starting 15 games in a row. It's getting a bit absured at this point. Im the biggest Elliott supporter going but he needs a rest in a big way.

Okay, someone answer me this before I go to bed.

Ruutu's hit was not dirty in the least. That's how I saw it. Am I wrong?

Holy smokes I just saw the highlights (missed most of the game).

Regin could've had like 5 points tonight. Nice to see his offensive touch coming through again.

Maybe a two minute boarding penalty for Ruutu at the most .... Reputatation call.

Honestly. This guy is barely a starting goalie in the AHL.

Change that favourite team, you bandwagoner GAME DAY: Buffalo Sabres @ Ottawa Senators - 7:30pm ET - Wed. Dec. 16th, 2009 - Sens win 2-0! - Page 15 159628

Exactly. Reputation call all the way. There was a hit by Michalek in the Buffalo zone that was worse - easily - and there wasn't even a call.

Diddle...such shoddy reffing this year. Thumbs Down

Ice time does wonders. It's about time he and Winchester has some chances to play.

It's been nothing but a downhill slide for Detroit since I changed it. GAME DAY: Buffalo Sabres @ Ottawa Senators - 7:30pm ET - Wed. Dec. 16th, 2009 - Sens win 2-0! - Page 15 489887

Hate to say it, but yes. He went after the exposed head. Not the worst I've seen but still dirty. Under the rules as I understand them, there should not have been a penalty, much less a major. Still a dirty or at least borderline dirty hit.

Interesting. I see it as a hit from the side, shoulder to shoulder, with Kaleta already up against the boards. He force of the hit (and it wasn't really a very big hit) caused Kaleta's head to hit the boards and caused the damage.

Usually I'll admit when someone from our team does something stupid, but I fail to see it this time.

Anyway...I can see your POV as well for sure, but I'm thinking this whole thing was because it was Ruutu.

I think Ruttu may have glanced Kaleta's shoulder, but he caught Kaleta's head between his shoulder and the glass. Honestly, if it was someone like Volchenkov making the hit, I would have suspected it was accidental, but with Ruttu I have to believe he was going for the head.

By the way I like what Ruttu brings to the team so I am not anti-Ruttu, just the way I saw it.

Kaleta's head never hit the glass. At least not on the replay.
