Honestly. This guy is barely a starting goalie in the AHL.

Regin could've had like 5 points tonight. Nice to see his offensive touch coming through again.

Hate to say it, but yes. He went after the exposed head. Not the worst I've seen but still dirty. Under the rules as I understand them, there should not have been a penalty, much less a major. Still a dirty or at least borderline dirty hit.SpezDispenser wrote:Okay, someone answer me this before I go to bed.
Ruutu's hit was not dirty in the least. That's how I saw it. Am I wrong?

I think Ruttu may have glanced Kaleta's shoulder, but he caught Kaleta's head between his shoulder and the glass. Honestly, if it was someone like Volchenkov making the hit, I would have suspected it was accidental, but with Ruttu I have to believe he was going for the head.SpezDispenser wrote:RobbyJ wrote:Hate to say it, but yes. Interesting. I see it as a hit from the side, shoulder to shoulder, with Kaleta already up against the boards. He force of the hit (and it wasn't really a very big hit) caused Kaleta's head to hit the boards and caused the damage.
Usually I'll admit when someone from our team does something stupid, but I fail to see it this time.
Anyway...I can see your POV as well for sure, but I'm thinking this whole thing was because it was Ruutu.

It's been nothing but a downhill slide for Detroit since I changed it.
I don't want to screw up the Sens.
