That's a playoff team. They need to play a lot more then one game like this to really put them sleves ahead of other teams and prove they dont need Spezza, but wow, tonight, this was basically an anti Spezza game.

The score should have been 8-0, Miller was fantastic. I cant begin to describe how well The Sens played tonight, it was unreal and I picked up tickets for Saturday night just based on what I saw tonight.

I wish Elliott would stop letting in those back breakers though.

Im pretty sure we've had more entertaining game in the past 2 games, c'mon now he's gone and injured so you dont have to continue bashing him every game still GAME DAY: Buffalo Sabres @ Ottawa Senators - 7:30pm ET - Wed. Dec. 16th, 2009 - Sens win 2-0! - Page 14 Icon_wink

And oh Go Elliot and Fisher!!! If Fisher doesn't deserve to be on Team Canada come February then I dont know who does (from the people still fighting for a spot)

The Sens have not dominated a game like that in a really long time. Spezza being out just a coincidence? You decide, but I had season tickets for the last 2 years and I have a smaller package this year, easily The Sens most complete effort since about the 17 games mark when they started 15-2.

Seriously, I really havnt enjoyed a game that much in a really long time. If Miller isnt in nets, that game isnt even close.

First sens game I've been to this year where we came out with a W -- I was starting to think I was a curse.

Couldn't be happier with the game tonight -- getting that goal late in the 1st was key, as we were all over them in the first, and if we came away empty handed from all the pressure, the momentum would have swayed Buff's way.

A couple of you have already mentioned it, but man, is Miller ever special. With him playing so well the Americans could make some noise in Vancouver.

Karlsson is honestly becoming better and better every night, he got a ton of ice time tonight and responded with a great game.

Kudos to Elliott for being there when we needed him in the 3rd.

Still 6th, BOston played one less game.

Is that the tie-breaker, or is it wins?

13 saves on NHL Recap, 10 for MIller and 3 for Elliott.
Shows our domination tonight and MIller's fantastic-ness.

Yeah, that sums it up.

Campoli deserves some mentions as well. Same with Regin actually.

Sens also hit close to 500 posts. That game should have been an absolute blow out.

So much went against The Sens from an offensive stand point tonight and they never gave up and kept plugging away. Man, I havnt been this happy after a game in a long time... can't say it enough, just a complete team effort. Not one bad game from anyone on that team.

We've dominated games with Spezza in the lineup, tonight was a perfect game but we ALWAYS show up and put on a show for the Sabres with or without Spezza alongside many others. I might not have season tickets but I have gone to my fair share of games and was entertained. Im not trying to start an argument or anything but imo the main reason you've enjoyed this game so much was because Spezza was out of the lineup.

Honestly. This guy is barely a starting goalie in the AHL.

How can you have an opinion on why I enjoyed the game? Well I guess you can have an opinion on anything really...

Anyways, Spezza being out was a bonus but they are going to have to play a lot more games like this for there to be any proof they are a better team without Spezza. I have always been on the opinion they would be if he was gone. We'll see if Im right in the end.

Just sick of our OHL backup letting in goals at the worst times and never bailing our The Sens out... when's it going to end? I hope they start Brodure vs NJ because I think a goalie with 0 seconds on NHL expierence is a better option then Elliott at this point.

In all seriousness, I hope Brodure gets the game on Sat night as a reward for going along with things, not that he has a choice, but it does send a msg throughout the organization and that will probably make his dream come true as well. Sens play like they did tonight for the most part, it wont even matter who is in nets because it wont be Miller in the other end and you wont hit 4 posts every game.

I think it will be Brodeur on Saturday. It's difficult to take Elliott out now since he's recorded the ZERO tonight.

I actually though Brodeur might have started last Saturday against the Canes, but the same situation, Elliott had the shutout against the Flyers.

Got to go with the hot hand.

Why was Campoli playing forward? What happened to Foligno?

I dont think you let Elliott play back to back after starting 15 games in a row. It's getting a bit absured at this point. Im the biggest Elliott supporter going but he needs a rest in a big way.
