The Diddling refs are brutal again. Ruttu gets a major for his hit on Kaleta, that's fine, but where was the call when Hecht slammed Volchie into the boards with a hit between the 2 and 4 on Anton's back or when Mair hammered Karlsson even though it was nowhere near the puck, it's not like Karlsson had even passed the puck and the hit was late, it was completely away from the play. I Diddling hate these Slugs. I hope Carkner tunes up Mair before the night is done. Diddle you Lindy and the Slug you rode in on.

I still don't get it how that high-stick interference on Karlsson was missed. The guy basically jumped right at him with his stick up n the air. Karlsson is defending against the puck carrier so anyone else jumping on him is clear interference, and when you jump and practically nearly spear the opposition player in the face that's supposed to be high-sticking. Two refs missed it? And the linesman looking right at it from two feet away missed it as well? I thought linesmen can call high-sticking.

Yep. The hit on Kaleta was a shoulder to the head. *Technically* it is not a foul but I don't mind it getting called. It can't be boarding when the hit is *not* against the boards -- Ruutu's path was almost parallel to the boards, not perpendicular. And it definitely wasn't worth 5 minutes. I guess the ref made up for it by giving that slashing call. That wasn't a slash, but even so, they still owed us 1 minute (the extra 3 on Ruutu minus 2 for the slash).

Winch is looking good... nice hit whoever that was in our own zone when they had the puck, threw them off and avoided a shot... Spezza would never have done that, he would have avoided the hit and it would have been a shot on net.

How do you call that a penalty against Ruutu? What exactly did he do? Is the NHL moving to a no-touching polcy? Or has the move happened already?
