He and JS had very strong games, in different ways (although Silfverberg chipped in a goal).

Good news. Yeah, Silfverberg is being ridiculously highly touted right now. Maybe too much so, but there are people who've watched him religiously who seem to think he's well on his way to being NHL ready.

Wow, I would think he has double to offensive tools that Axelsson or Winchester have. That surprises me to hear that comparison.

We'll have to see what happens with Karlsson. It's really silly to scratch him at all at this point, I don't see why. Because of the Pittsburgh game? Everyone sucked equal amounts of ****. I don't want him as a healthy scratch again personally, it doesn't help in the least. To the WJC or to Bingo or back in the lineup.

So is Sweden for real? the Czechs beat the US and only lost to Canad by 1, yet they got pulverized 10-1 by Sweden. Are they *that* good or was this a huge hiccup by the Czechs?

It's not as good as my Regin comparison, maybe. Basically, the idea is he's a surefire NHLer but it's hard to pencil him into a line at this point. He's got offensive talent but we'll have to wait to see how much comes out in the NHL. I don't think he's on par with Petersson offensively.

USA's Zucker laid out a Slovakian player and a penalty was called... 2 mins for high sticking and a game misconduct... but the problem was the ref gave the penalties to Tyler Johnson. Apparently after the game the misconduct was later reversed and given to Zucker. Weird.

A game for a minor? That's pretty weird, too.

I saw that hit... it was clean, except the Slovak landed face first on the ice. Not a fan of the call.

The Czechs looked great last night, so I'm guessing it was just a hiccup.

Didn't Zucker have his hands up though, thus the high stick? I guess the big points here are the game for a minor as pointed out, and that the wrong player got ejected. Pretty embarrassing on the officials. All it would have taken was a 30 second review of the tape to make sure lol. I guess if Zucker made contact with the head, it is a sever punishment, thus the game.

Cowen's been pinching alot almost everytime he's on the ice... Got caugth once or twice... Luckily this is the Swiss and not the US or Russia where they would exploit that way more...

This game'd still be 0-0 if it weren't for a couple of questionable calls. I'm glad we've got one of the best scouts in the game working in Sweden, but I'm wondering what our Swiss scouting representation looks like. I think they're on the rise.

He's not entirely sure what to do deep in the zone and his passing needs improvement. Both of those are easily fixed problems in his game, though.

The first goal should of definetly not counted... The second well the refs either make questionable call or miss easy ones...
