Again, I look right at Chicago.

If I'm looking at Chicago, I'm looking at Barker before Sharp.

Barker's more of a PP specialist/puck mover, his defense is rubbish. Do we need another one of those guys? Granted Barker's offense makes up for any D deficiencies he has, but still, he won't be the answer to bringing this D together.

Sharp on the other hand....there's your successor to Alfie IMO. Can play in all situations, would become Michalek and Spezza's linemate for as long as we could afford to keep him, would really be a threat to score 35 goals on our top line, reasonable contract, leader. It's always been a dream of mine personally.

I totally understand what people are saying about D before offense though.

Fisher may be the successor to Alfie we've been looking for.

We're going to need to think about it at some point though.

I'm not seeing the consistency... yet...

I have a question: what's everyone's problem with Kadri other than the fact that he's a TML? I'm not saying we should trade for him and I do think Cowen was the better choice anyways but I think Kadri is a really good player that will have an impact in TO but I don't understand people's dislike for him

other than the fact he is a ML? Nothing, it's a big enough reason.

Not sure what you mean, I have not seen a lot of anti-Kadri on here. I like him and I like the game he plays.

No no don't get me wrong, I didn't mean here. It's just among many Sens fans I've spoken to and it makes me wonder whether it was just that Burke drafted him instead of Murray

On HF even Maple Leaf fans don't really love him. A guy like Kessel has ten times the amount of impact that a Kadri has.

That said, I like him and I like his game as well - even if I do think the Leafs made the wrong choice by not taking Cowen.

I don't know I always thought Kadri would be a guy who would complement a Kessel. It's a good thing that the Leafs wrong choice was our biggest gain Murray likes the Sens post-Heatley trade - Page 3 557710

They are trying to convince themselves that Murray really did put one over on Burke, and one thing that helps them is to put Kadri down.

Me? I'm fully convinced that Murray pulled one over on Burke so I don't have to put Kadri down to convince myself.

Yeah, he might actually, it'll be interesting to see if they connect with each other.

Meh. I think a lot of it has to do with how TSN portrayed the meeting with Burke/Murray. If Cowen had not been available, we may have picked Kadri, who knows. The Cowen pick was a no brainer for the Sens, we needed him in our pipe line.

personaly i see kardi as a bottom top 6. you know a guy that will never get past the 20 goal(maybe 25 sometimes). that's not saying he's bad but he was picked what 7th over all? i think there were way better options out there. so i don't have that much love for him. when we need a top 6, we need a guy that will net 25 every year. like a michalek. and that's what i think we should be hunting for.

IMO, Kadri is a Scott Gomez in the making. Good skater, decent vision, but a guy that isnt really going to make a team all that much better.
