First, I'm just repeating what was reported; clearly someone thought it mattered. Second, of course it matters.

Doesn't matter one bit. There's ISIS members with Canadian passports, American passports, French passports, etc.

It doesn't matter yet. I find the report dubious. Why carry a passport on a suicide mission. If in fact it is found than anyone who came in the recent refugee wave was involved, there will be a slow down and elevated screening.

Yeah it doesn't matter. If anything people will use it as a way to justify the persecution of refugees . Truth is terrorist can come from anywhere. International intelligence is doing a pretty good job at identifying possible dangerous people. Unfortunately they couldn't with this one. Truly truly sad what has happened.

But refugees are fleeing these exact people in Syria. And yes there might be dangerous elements trying to infiltrate through the refugee exodus but I would hope and believe that due diligence will be done to weed out such people.

It might. I can see this leading to NATO campaign.

There is pressure to bring the refugees in quickly at the expense of full security screening. Catch 22 situation.

First of all, who said anything about a suicide mission? Second, it matters because it could possibly lead to discovering flaws in policies/procedures. And, yes, it sucks, but you can't just open up your arms and borders and bring in everyone.

When you are wearing explosives around your waist odds are your not coming back.

Again, who ever said that the perpetrator on whom they found the Syrian passport was a suicide bomber? There were a number of attacks where guns were used to randomly shoot people, there were several shootouts with the police, there were bombs (those may have been suicide bombers, not sure). My understanding is that the Syrian passport would have been found on one of the perpetrators that were still in one piece.

Just read "There is strong assumption that these passports are fake".

All would be solved if we got rid of gun control. Those Diddlers would be dead in minutes if somebody at the concert had a gun

Concealed carry wont' do much against a guy with explosives strapped to his body under his jacket. Then, again, the majority of the deaths happened at the concert hall where they stormed in and opened fire. I may be anti gun but it's hard to argue what would have happened if that was, say, Dallas. But these Diddlers aren't stupid, they know the lay of the land, and they would adapt their tactics as needed.

Since Vietnamese does not use the latin alphabet, I'm sure it's ok for him to spell it the way it sounds. No need to add silent letters in latin-alphabet transliteration of a Vietnamese name.

Of course Fu Da Bic (no idea why they insisted on "Phoo" in the article) is not nearly as newsworthy.

No need to ruin an amusing story with your know-it-all-ery. Boo! Farter

So this guy hiked the Pacific Coast Trail (Mexico to Canada) over 5 months. He took video as he went and compiled the highlights in a 5 minute video. Pretty great.
