So you don't even have to be a pro athlete these days to think that you're above the law. Whatta d-bag.

Hmm, I don't know if he's a d-bag or not. Not terribly savvy, that's for sure. You've got to know which battles *not* to pick (anyone who has seen "Meet the Parents" should know). Teenagers (I have to add *some* teenagers) wear their pants like that and, personally, I cannot stand it. And it's been ridiculed for quite a long time -- remember that little speech from Cher in "Clueless" about "baggy pants"?

So okay, I don't want to be a traitor to my generation and all but I don't get how guys dress today. I mean, come on, it looks like they just fell out of bed and put on some baggy pants and take their greasy hair - ew - and cover it up with a backwards cap and like, we're expected to swoon? I don't think so.

That movie quote is from 16 years ago.

But is he a d-bag just for being a slave to stupid fashion (or stupid slave to fashion)?

I don't care about his pants, he's a d-bag for refusing to pull them up on an airplane, and screwing over all the other passengers, and being a nuisance.

If security asks you to do something in an airplane or at an airport, you either do it, or you just leave.

Gerard Depardieu urinates in front of passengers on a plane:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2026990/Depardieu-urinated-plane-flight-refused-permission-to-toilet.html

Apparently he really had to go but the toilets were closed off until after take off. The stewardess told him he'd have to wait 15 minutes and there was nothing she could do. So he pulled it out and urinated right in the aisle.

The actor was voted France's third most irritating celebrity in a 2010 poll. He came behind First Lady Carla Bruni and film star Alain Delon.

Lookout Carla. I think he's gunning weeing for you.

WARNING: This is going to make you cringe.

Just read yesterday about this 86-year-old guy who doing some pruning with some gardening shears -- not very long ones, probably around a foot long, tip of handle to tip of blade.

He dropped them and they hit pointy-ends down, with the handle sticking up. He was bending over to pick them up when he lost his balance (the guy was no spring chicken) and fell face forward onto the handle.

WARNING: This is going to make you cringe.

The handle went below his right eyeball and through the eye-socket and the nasal cavity, down all the way to his throat, resting right on the external carotid artery. Amazingly, the doctors were able to save his life *and* his eye.

This is what it looked like on X-Ray:

This is how he looks now:

Its amazing that the only long term damage done was some swelling around the eye, A+ for the doctors.

Well, if *I* was the parent, then I'd definitely have a severe consequence for Chris. All online access gone for a year or longer, and I'd do everything in my power to enforce it. The girl obviously has issues -- either extremely low self-esteem or and addiction (I *don't* think it's normal teenage behaviour although it's been a while for me, and it was the 70s). He got turned in for hiding a 12-pack. Boo-hoo. If he thinks the punishment is harsh, take it up with the management. Her ratting him out was was nothing in comparison to what he did.

It's true - was a major overreaction. Hardly consider what she did as causation to publicly embarrassing her in a permanent fashion such as this. Still, not me or anyone I know, so kind of funny.

Not the smartest up and coming criminals:

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2011/09/beer-heist-bungled-in-covina.html

Three Covina men are behind bars after they allegedly stole a 30-pack of Tecate beer from a market and attempted to escape but crashed a car and hit an employee who chased them, then one ran through a car wash and another left behind his ID.

Andy Huynh, Nicholas Kalscheuer and Nicholas Fiumetto, all 19, were arrested Wednesday on charges of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest, according to a Covina police report.

Kalscheuer and Fiumetto entered the Baja Ranch Market about 3 p.m. Wednesday while Huynh remained behind the wheel of a car nearby.

Inside the store, Fiumetto grabbed a 30-pack of beer and the two men ran out. Employees ran after the pair into the parking lot, grabbing and detaining Kalscheuer and later turning him over to police, according to the report.

Fiumetto, meanwhile, threw the beer in the car and jumped in the front passenger seat.
As Huynh pulled out, an employee jumped on the hood of the car to avoid getting run over. Huynh careened through the parking lot, hitting a curb and sending the employee onto the pavement, scraping his arms in the fall, according to the report.

Huynh and Fiumetto ran off. Fiumetto climbed a fence and ran into the Citrus Car Wash next door.

Pepe Pinedo, the car wash manager, was standing amid drying cars when he saw Fiumetto, pursued by two officers, run into the car wash tunnel.

At the time, "there were two cars being washed in the tunnel," Pinedo said. "He got into the wash and the rollers and got all wet.

"By the time, he came out of the car wash, the officer was already on the other end of the tunnel," he continued. "It was kind of funny. It was a nice show."

Huynh ran off but had left his wallet and identification in the car. Police officers contacted him later and convinced him to turn himself in.
