Tonight's game will be Clouston's 50th game as head coach of the Ottawa Senators.

Let's get him a win.

GO SENS! I hope we can pull this one out.

One thing I would tweak with the lines would be to have Cheechoo play with Fish and Kovy on the 2nd line and leave the Foligno-Regin-Shannon line intact. It seemed on Cheechoo's first goal of the year that he had some kind of chemistry with Kovy, let's see if it is something they can build on. No?

Let's also hope that Kovalev starts to put up some goals! GAME DAY: Ottawa Senators @ Philadelphia Flyers - 7:00pm EST - Thu. Nov. 12th, 2009 PLUS post game thoughts - Page 2 555492

Michalek is due for another hat trick too!

100% agreed. Now that Cheechoo has scored - and a nifty goal at that - and he and Kovalev have some chemistry, it's time to have the top 9 carved in cement for the next 20 games or so:

Michalek - Spezza - Alfredsson
Kovalev - Fisher - Cheechoo
Foligno - Regin - Shannon

Honestly, I love that top 9. The question marks were always Cheechoo and Shannon, but their confidence levels are getting back up. Go with that and unleash the 4th line for hellacious unhappiness tonight. Ahhhhh!

Me too! That top 9 is great! It should work, if he stops moving everyone around.

Here's to hoping that Clouston is listening...

If there's one thing I won't do, it's second guess Clouston. I might get miffed from time to time, but he's the right guy to call the shots.

My guess is we'll see something like that top 9 from here on out.

I just really hope we find the back of the net tonight...the worst thing to happen would be Emery getting a shut out.

I'm not second guessing him at all, I trust in him completely and think he is a great coach. I just wish the lines would come together and stay that way.

That would really suck. I'm having some nervous thoughts about tonight though...I don't know what will happen. Volchenkov is such a huge blow to us for this game especially. It's going to be tough, and we get to see frigggin' Chris Pronger. BOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to guess that there will be some fighting tonight. It'll be a big night for Carkner and Neil.

If the Sens won't forget about Steve Downie, why would they forget about Chris Pronger? Shouldn't he be beaten down tonight as well?

That would be nice. I think Carkner could take him. Neil could too actually.

I'm feeling a win tonight. Looking at that Flyer line-up isn't as impressive as I thought it was. They have a lot of youth in their bottom 6. Alot of injuries over there (Gagne, Briere, JVR)

Sens 5-3.

A couple sites are now saying both Briere and JVR will be playing tonight. We've got our hands full. Time to see how me measure up against the contenders.
