Gainey is on the same level as Burke in terms of making absolute blow hard moronic decisions.

Price would have to be traded if he is ever going to have somewhat of a successful career, will it happen, well, that remains to be seen, but with each passing disappointing loss, Gainey looks more and more like an idiot for trading Huet for a 2nd round pick only.

As I suggested when the Lecavalier to Montreal rumours were in full swing, if Gainey balked at a deal because TB wanted Price, he should be shot.

I dont think Huet was the answer in Montreal but he 100% was def never a problem. It was good to have a border line starter to help Price along if he got in trouble (like everyone knew he eventually would). Instead they have one, late 2nd round pick to show for it...

Pisses me off watching a guy like this get thrown to the wolves in Montreal... I said last year Elliott will end up being the better goaltender between him and Price, so far, I believe I'm right on track with that prediction because of they way each are being handled.

agreed Neely, Elliott was never pushed by Murray or the coaching staff to be the next big thing, even this year, when he could very well be ready to be a starter, we still aren't pushing him as he is in the backup role.

Edit: and with this post, you can finally call me Mr. Montagoose, I would like to thank the academy and to SpezzD & Cap'n for making this all possible, plus to Prags and Shabbs for showing me how to fluff posts to make the numbers grow quicker Can the Habs avoid a 6-game losing streak? Lecavalier has been pretty bad this year.

To his defense, the other 2 in his left and right are atrocious...

Last year they gave Elliott a shot to see if he was ready for NHL duty, which is fine. He showed he had NHL tallent and drive which is all they needed to know. When things got rough they got him the hell out of the net before he had his confidence shattered by a bad hockey team in front of him. They let the vet backup Auld take a lot of the heat and he played well for The Sens.

Doing that provided Auld with a chance to show his worth (got a 6th round pick for nothing basically) and it allowed Elliott to get his 1 way deal and a full time role as a backup behind one of the best goaltenders in the world.

Price, here's a shovel, try and dig yourself out... bye Koivu, Kovy, or any vets with character that loved the city and would protect you.

Id take Elliott over Price right now because niether one are ready to be a full time number 1 in The NHL.

You put a lot of faith in Halak. I still have faith the streak can stay alive and well. Can the Habs avoid a 6-game losing streak? Apparently, yes. - Page 2 Icon_wink

Halak's GAA against the Thrashers last season was a whopping 7.56. Yikes.

Dang. Price has been a bit of a disappointment for me in the pool, but if Markov hadn't gotten injured I still think he would be having a good season. He played very well in the first two games (their only two wins, eh?) Halak is not going to save them.
