I'm 100% not sold on Picard in the least. I've tried to be patient, but there's almost nothing I like about him. I like his shot on the PP, but clearly that's not even getting through.

Perhaps people here are right and Chelios is too old...I liked what I saw when they subbed him in the WCF, I thought he rushed the puck up pretty good for a geezer, but he's closing in on 50, I suppose that reason enough to pause.

Karlsson MIGHT be able to stick with this team when Kuba comes back, but I have some doubts.

For the first time this season, I'm really excited about our forward lines. And, I thought Kovalev - Fisher - Alfredsson looked especially good. There's a lot of potential there.

Definitely, the defence needs tweaking, but again so much will be gained just from the return of FK. Sub Kuba and Lee in for Karlsson and Picard and the defence looks very solid - or, at the very least, not a weakness that will lose us games.

Michalek - Spezza - Cheechoo
Kovalev - Fisher - Alfredsson
Foligno - Regin - Shannon
Neil - Winchester - Ruutu

Phillips - Volchenkov
Kuba - Campoli
Lee - Carkner

Leclaire
Elliott

That looks like a playoff team for sure.

Get that pile of Dung out of there. What a fuckin loser that guy is...Karlsson doesn't deserve to have a single one of those minuses...give them all to that idiot Campoli.
I 100% agree with you. I've never been sold on Campoli and Picard has just been a big letdown for me---I expected much better from him. I would much rather have Kuba-Karlsson as the 2nd pairing. Everything else looks right.

Ive like Picard thus far, havnt loved him, but he's been solid. No doubt in my mind that Campoli should be the guy coming out of the lineup. He has been awful, hasnt produced, been a big liability defensivly. I took the wait and see approch about him but I've waited and what I have seen isnt good.

Karlsson out of the lineup? What for? He's been good for the most part and put in a position to fail right now playing with Campoli, yet he is still playing pretty well.

Picard/Carkner have been a VERY good pair.

Karlsson is not ready for the NHL! There is no point on him playing the 5th, 6th d-man, he needs top minutes and he cannot handle those top minutes in the NHL.

There is no point in rushing a future corner stone of our defence.

He's look ready his entire time here. He has made rookie misrakes and has been better every game. He doesnt look out of place at all, is getting a good amount of mins every game and PP time.

Karlsson shouldnt be expected to make up for a vet's gafs like Campoli, should be the other way around.

Kuba.

Campoli would be best served to reach behind him and pull his head out of his arse....now.

Okay, I can buy that. We'll wait until Saturday when Kuba gets back and pray that he and Karlsson can make a good duo again.

I dont. He's been getting better every game, been solid for the most part, good with the puck, better defensivly then I thought he would be (very active stick and takes away a lot of passing lanes). The only think I've hated so far is Clouston putting Karlsson and Campoli together and it has cost the team already. That's on Clouston to either mix things up or get Campoli out of there, he's the vet and a RFA at seasons end,

I think we need the Kuba-Karlsson pairing back together before passing judgement on the rookie.

People in Ottawa and around the league really dont give a lot of credit to Kuba. He is The Sens best D man by a large margin right now and is the perfect partner for Karlsson at this point. A left handed vet D man who likes to dish the puck offensively with a kid who loves to shoot. Defensivly Kuba is so smart and sound positionally he can make up for a lot of those rookie mistakes unlike a guy like Campoli who still Diddling makes them.

Picard has been alright...my expectations for him were just way too high. As mentioned before, his 60-minute consistency is a major problem and leads to some stressful brain farts.

That pairing did, however, shut down Malkin and co. so I think he deserves more credit from the people like myself.

As for taking E.K. out of the lineup, I'm not sure I understand it either. He's played 5 games in the NHL and so far has looked pretty solid. He really hasn't been exposed that much and his play/poise with the puck is a serious asset for any team. There's no reason to think he should be in the AHL for long, if at all, Imo. I wouldn't necessarily rule it out altogether, but if they send him down, I fully expect it to be a temporary arrangement.

People are a lot better in Ottawa about Kuba now. They seem to realize his unreal importance to this team. We need this guy, this is our Sergei Gonchar going down and from the moment Picard got injured and Kuba got a different partner, he's never looked back.

I can't wait to have him back. The sooner the better!

well if there is any talk of E.K being demoted, it will happen before 10 games so they won't burn a year of his ELC. I am all for him staying up here, he will have more benefit playing with Kuba then being down with Bingo or in Sweden.

I think probably the point is that we can't have EK, Campoli and Picard all bumblefucking in the D zone. We can keep Karlsson with Kuba and Campoli with Carkner and possibly get away with it, but we can never again have Campoli and Karlsson together. It's a death wish.

Also, Picard is one big ball of fail to me, but I'm open to watching him more and not rushing to any decisions (waive!).

Ottawa's defense is solid with Kuba. Very under rated in every aspect.

No doubt in my mind Campoli should be the guy coming out for Kuba, he has given no reason to stay in the lineup.

Picard has been the teams most productive defenseman so... not sure that's saying a lot for Campoli.

Let's take out Picard first, then we'll have to deal with Campoli if this keeps up.

Carkner and Picard have been really good together and as a pair have what, 5 point in their last 3 games while shutting down the other teams 2nd and 3rd lines. Oh, they are both on the PK as well and doing a good job.

Campoli has been garbage and should ride the pine, Picard doesnt deserve to come out.

I really feel as if there are vacuums that suck less than Picard. I see defensive issues, he can make some passes and he has a nice shot, but he's so easily moved off the puck in the defensive zone it makes me cringe.

Not a fan - yet. But whatever's best for the team...I'm sure Clouston would know.
