the Leafs look like they're going to be real good this year. I hope we play much better than we're doing against them. They at least tried to come back into it and scored 4 goals

Take the bad with the good... When the bad is this bad, the good is going to feel that much better.

We are seeing glimpses of beauty, but the chemistry isn't there. That much is clear. That's why 3 of their goals came on fastbreaks, cause our players did not know when to pinch or when to cover, and what positions to take. I'm not worried. This will come when they get more accustomed to each other.

Why the hell would you pull the goalie when you're down by three, to embarrass yourself even more?

I hope, I didn't expect the team to be spectacular from game one but tonight was brutal

Nice consolation for Regin who might have been the best Senator tonight.

Our guys just couldn't finish their chances on the breakaways (Shannon, Michalek) and on the 2 on 1s (Regin, Spezza, can't remember who else).

If Tampa Bay wasn't so garbage, my pro line ticket might have been a winner tonight.

PHI win by 01 PTS.
BOS win by 02 PTS.
TB win by 01 PTS.
CLB win by 01 PTS.
TIE game within OO PTS - MTL @ BUF

$4.00 wager
PAYS $229.40

Thanks Tampa Bay you piece of useless Dung.

Well, that was a rough start to the season... hopefully it's only up from here. Yikes.

hey at least we know Leclaire wasn't the only goalie with a rough night. Even Brodeur let in 5 goals, the stars must not be aligned for the French goalies tonight

This team needs to get the system down. Tonight, the guys who could defend (Phillips, Volchenkov) couldn't do anything with the puck, and the guys that could couldn't defend.

I only caught the first period of the Red Wings game, so I don't know what happened or why they lost, but they completely dominated because they have their system down to a T.

Obviously you don't want to over-react from one game, but am I the only one who thinks Phillips and Volchenkov should be split up? They're our best defenders but they can't move the puck. Spread the wealth a little, balance out the roster.
