This is Diddled dude. Vokoun is gone on a stretcher. I couldn't hear the audio so I'm not sure what his status is.

After Kovalchuk scored Atlanta's 2-1 goal, Keith Ballard who was to the left of Vokoun in butterfly position literally two hand slashed his OWN goalie across the neck/ear/head area. Vokoun went down in a heap, rolled around considerably grabbing his head and then was carted off on stretcher with a scrum of 10 trainers/doctors around him.

Ok. So I guess he was going to smash his stick on the net and missed.

Holy Dung.....unreal!

I can't even begin to understand what was going through his head.

Better yet, here's today's brain twister: should Keith Ballard be suspended for slashing his OWN teammate across the head?

As people are saying, he probably feels badly enough - apparently he was near tears? Can't lose your best G and your best D in one night.

If they don't want him anymore...I'll GLADLY take him.

PKC - are you sure that Ovechkin tore his ACL and/or MCL?

Weird situation. Can certainly be argued -- strongly -- both ways.

His knee looked Diddled up. He couldn't even skate off the ice. Once he got to the doors behind the net, he was carried, as in picked up, by two or three trainers.

Looked REALLY bad. Not sure though because I didn't have any audio.

So if the league had suspended him for other transgressions that he got away with scot free... they may have saved him from himself. Interesting turn of events.

I told you he was throwing a dirty kneeing hit on LaRose. What a ridiculous night of injuries so far.

Also, Corvo left the game with what looked like either a broken leg or he got cut by Karl Alzner's skate on his calf. Not sure which one. This happened before the Ovechkin injury.

I don't have volume here, are you able to find out what exactly is the extent of his injury. I dare say his season might be done just by the looks of it.
