Another headshot, another player out...from ESPN/AP this morning:

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Minnesota Wild right wing Petr Sykora has a concussion and is out indefinitely.

Sykora took a hit to the head in Saturday's win over the Dallas Stars. In his first season with the Wild, Sykora has already missed six games because of a groin injury. He has two goals and one assist in 10 games.

Nylander makes the final call on whether he's going to Russia but it looks like he's prepared to do it. Not formalized just yet, though.

Mair clears. Why is that?

I mean, not for us, we've got bottom six forwards out the ying-yang, but no one in the NHL has a use for Adam Mair? That's surprising to me.

I think he's just a checker who makes it tough for the opposition to play against, but yikes, those are horrific.

Giguere, ready to return to the lineup, has said that he would rather retire than be a backup goalie. With Hiller having taken the #1 job on many occasion, it looks like Giggy will either retire or have to find a #1 job elsewhere.

I still don't get it.

Randy Youngman is a fairly feasible source. He doesn't have the credibility of a Bob Mac, but he's pretty in tune with the Ducks and what's going on.

Dave, not that I give too much of a care, but Toronto hired Giguere's goalie coach (one of the best in the World) - and the Ducks want to rid themselves of that contract going forward (next year).

It's been in quite a few rumour mills for a while now, surprised you missed it.
