I still compare goalies mostly by save percentage. Sure, good defense will force the other teams into lower percentage shots, but I just don't know if there's any such defense (team defense) out in the AHL. Mostly they reduce the goals by reducing the shots.

Well, they scored approximatively 20 less goals than Bingo, and allowed approximatively 20 goals less, so I would say that explains (just in part) the low GAA. As for the Save percentage, could be (or not) the number of games played.

Only 10 fewer games than Elliott played...huh...not that those numbers would stand up over 70 games, but it's a start. And he's a ripe age for a goalie, starting to 'get it'.

Wow, I guess they really want someone to step up and take that Bingo's starter position. I figure the short end of the stick ends up starting in Elmira.

Would Brodeur be in jeopardy of losing his starting role with what he brings to the (AHL) table?

All 3 guys are new to the team are they not? If one of the other two steals the job early on, I don't see why not. Nothing is set in stone I would say.

all this work from BMurray leaves me thinking that he's trying to make bingo into one mean machine. maybe mold our youth into a winning culture while keeping alot of compatition within the team.

Wonder if this is another one of those "Murray Gems"?

I think you nailed the reason right there HH, and even if Leclaire keeps healthy all season, we have 2 decent starting guys in Bingo with Chiodo being the back up. Goalie depth in this organization is getting much much better, especially with Lehner in the Soo, that will be the guy we will be talking about in 2 or 3 years time.

What's all this talk about Brodeur being anything other than an AHL goalie? What has he done to even warrant being the de-facto #1 in Bingo and the first call up?

Seriously, I'm not out to ruffle feathers, but I'd never heard of the guy before he got signed by the Sens. Admittedly, scouting amateur players is not my thing, but still.

well when i said it would be for depth i meant either holt of brodeur(said brodeur because i was thinking he was the better than chiodo) because the numbers for chiodo are pretty bad last little while so i figure his was penned in as a back up could be wrong but his numbers looked a bad (chiodo )

Brodeur will never be anything but an AHL goalie and a possible callup for injuries...but one of the best AHL goalies, he is.

Why the heck do we need Chiodo?
