Chelios asks the Leafs for a job

Yeah, probably. It can really ... mix 'em up.

I like the player/coach option. Chelios can bring so much veteran presence to the Leafs squad. More emphasis on the coaching side, as with Toronto's d the way it is, there really is no room for him.

But seriously, give him special teams duty, 3-4 minutes a game and have him on the bench talking to the younger players.

I like the idea, unlikely Burke will bite though

Yeah, a player/coach role would probalby make the most sense... something like what was done with Luke Richardson and the Sens.

If Burke does it, then we'll all have to acknowledge that having a player/coach is the most brilliant idea in history, and it'll be called the Burke maneuver.
