Shanahan re-signs with Devils

Guy can put up 20 goals in a coma, it seems.

No word on financial details yet, but my guess is that this is going to be another good deal for the Devils. He played for only $800K last year...

Did you mean coma? Had to read that over a few times.

Last year he only put up 6 in 34 games, but he missed 9 due to injuries. So if you take that as 6 in 43, that extrapolates to 11 over a full season schedule. Even 6 in 34 only works out to 14 in 82, and he's not going to play anywhere near 82 games.

His contract better be league minimum plus bonuses.

Definitely meant "coma," will correct original entry.

Anyway, with the loss of Gionta, guys like Rolston, Zubrus, and Shannan are all going to have a shot at playing in the top 6 / the 2nd PP unit. Amongst that company, I like Shanny's chances to stick, and to improve on last year's numbers.

I like Shanny and I think it's great he's with the Devils. I didn't like him with the Rangers at all

I dont know about this one... He's not the player he once was... He could possibly still put 20 goals and around 40 points.

That Senator on a bike thing was original. It's a refreshing change to see things like that once in awhile.
