When was the last time Kovalev scored 39 goals? He has averaged about 65 points over the last four years.

Heatley had a terrible year last year.

As I stated Kovalev has averaged 65 points over the last four years, the year he scored 35 in Montreal was his highest since the 2000-2001 season.

I owuld not expect him to replace Heater's production, that will need to be done by committee.

I don't mind the sigining but to say he can easily hit 75 points may be setting yourself up for disappointment.

I'm not as skeptical about Penner as most. I find it a little offensive to see scenarios that have Cogliano, a playmaking center, playing wing on the 3rd line while "Fish" Diddle up our second line as usual at center.

I believe he has scored 30+ goals in 3 or 4 seasons and has only scored over 80 points TWICE.

Cogs plays the wing in Edmonton because he cant win a face off if his life depended on it. He has been more successful since being placed on wing because of his speed. I think he would be a great 2nd line winger for Fisher.

At least Cogliano will be cheap to re-sign after playing with Fisher sucks all the potential out of him.
