I still don't think they were truly a bottom 10 team in the first place. Either way, improvements are on the come.

It is. That's why the cap hit for the first 3 years of Alfie's new deal is a little higher than the cap hit for the last year of his deal (which is very, very rare). The "buyout" is for 2009-10, 2010-11, and 2011-12 (his option years under the old contract); his new 4-year deal covers 2012-13, too, tho', which weren't in the old contract, hence no buyout was needed.

Oh they were, they would have had NO ONE to score goals. Now, I think you deal Heatley for picks and prospects, only! If we sign Bertuzzi too, this team is going to look good.
