pretty cheap price if you get him, Sundin was a 2nd if I am not mistaken, but if you fail, then you lose that pick and have nothing to show for it, if Murray was to do this, he better be damn sure he would sign him and make it reasonable, if there is any shred of doubt, I would hold onto the 3rd round pick.

Unless it's conditional, I think you lose it.
And I'm not sure it's possible for everything on one side of a trade to be conditional.

We don't have a 3rd round pick this year.

If's it's not tagged as 'conditional,' -- i.e., where certain conditions need to be met before the pick is given up -- then it's defacto 'unconditional' -- i.e., with no conditions attached to it.
