Well, we did see those rumours/proposals based around Corey Perry.
I'm quite confident you won't see him in Buffalo, Boston, Montreal, Detroit, Carolina or Florida.
A lot of Western teams seem fair game though. I could see Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Minny (please), St. Louis, San Jose, even Dallas.
If Columbus wasn't so strapped for cash, maybe them too.
I can't see Edmonton at all; same with St Louis and Columbus (mainly because of Howson's explicitly stating that the quality young core are staying with the organization).
I don't want anything Calgary or San Jose has to offer, so I'm hoping they don't win.
I think LA and Vancouver are solid front runners with enough quality to make an enticing package, if they wanted to.
and I think Minny and Dallas are legitimate dark horses. If I had to put money on a particular team, I would think long and hard about those two coming out on top.
As for the idea that this doesn't get done by next week: Just drop it, please. It's not going to linger and the idea that the 3rd most dangerous sniper in the last 4 years is somehow untradeable - based on
any of the reasoning I've heard - is just nonsense. Bryan Murray knows what he's doing and has proven time and again to be able to complete a trade and get fair value (or at least something resembling fair value) regardless of the constraints.
Heatley is one of the most marketable assets to hit the market this off-season and there will be a team willing and able to take on his salary.
It's honestly just getting annoying now, Dave, and it comes off antagonistic. Whether thats intentional, like some of your other comments, or just accidental, it would be nice if you could stop it.
