There isn’t a demo out for the PS3? There must be! I know there was one on the 360. Have you tried looking online (Used Ottawa/Kijiji/Ebay) for a used copy? You could probably find one fairly cheap…or there’s always the EB Games used section as well (although the discounts there can be minimal).

I will be the first to admit, I am new to searching through the playstation store, but went alphabetically through PS3 games and I didn't notice it, I have an EB Games nearby in Moncton, but yeah, the discount will probably be minimum, oh well, tax time is coming, maybe I will fetch a decent return and can justify it then, but think games vs home repairs will be a losing cause lol.

I just finished GOW III and loved it...I play the typical COD, but online i seem to get outmatched and have chalked it up to people using aiming bots rather than me sucking (how else do you explain a guy seeing and killing you from 1/2 across the map).

I'm playing Gran Tourismo right now with my son, and searching for that next game to captivate my attention.

I had an Atari 2600. Represent.

I am also old enough to vividly remember the CollecoVision and the Intellivision. Still for me, the best two systems ever were the NES and the SNES. Games today are way too damn complicated. NHL 11 has like 70 buttons (or button combos) to remember. What the hell ever happened to 2-3 buttons? Shoot, pass, change player. That's all you really need!

still have my SNES at home in working condition, but missing a lot of my games now, lost between moving and such, still remember nhl 93 though, with that one wrap around move that worked every time, you don't get anything like that anymore.

I had NHL 95 for Sega Genesis. With a left handed shooter you could break down the right wing and cut into the middle around the top of the circle and score with a slapshot EVERY time.

I still have several classic SNES games, like Uncharted Waters: New Horizons, and Aerobiz Supersonic. Nothing on these new systems are like these classics sadly. Sad

that you are right on, the video game makers just don't care anymore, thank goodness for emulators though, if I ever need a fix, I can just play them all on my pc, wonder if I can download them to my ps3 and use a controller instead of the stupid keyboard lol.

I have a contoller for my PC which looks and feels just like a Snes controllers layout. I use that for all my Roms (I've pretty well got em all for the NES/SNES). I much prefer to use a console though, on an older rear projection TV. My NES is on it's last legs, so I'll be getting an FC Twin soon I imagine.

I left some things in my parent's back basement and just went to collect some of it - and there's a Colleco with like 20 games. Oh to memories - f-ing Congo Bongo for the win!

Red Dead Redemption! Just amazing game. A lot of fun, good story, long, worth the money! Just incredible! I didn't play the previous titles, I don't think you need to all that much. But very deep and very enjoyable.

My favourite game in a looooong time. There are downloads that have come out recently to go along with the main game.

Have you played the expansions? Are it worthwhile?

No. But I like the game so much that anything that keeps you playing it is worthwhile, IMO.

If you have a next gen console and really want to see what a next gen game feels like, play Mass effect 1 and 2.

never heard of Mass Effect, my buddy is bugging me to get Black Ops so he can have someone to play online with on our ps3's, but have to get the headset too as well for chat purposes. on another note, if anyone here is on the ps network often, look me up, my username is kratos71nb.

Black Ops is awesome – I have it for the PC. I’ve only played multiplayer though, so I can’t speak to the single-player campaign.

I haven't played any of the series to be honest, last similar game (and I use the term loosely) I have played is Rainbox 6 on the N64, always enjoyed those ones, I can only imagine the Call of Duty games are way better.
