I picked up borderlands and la noire in the Steam bargain bin. Both good games.

This alone is why I pre ordered Madden 13

Madden looks great, but NCAA Football has a new recruiting feature that has me leaning that way this year. Can't go wrong either way though.

Boss Zibanejad NHL 13 cover signed by the man himself (from @TomSENS on Twitter). He was (is?) at EB Merivale for the midnight release.

Each Canadian team did that, very odd that OTT's cover boy was Zibanejad, even more so because he doesn't even have a photo in the game.

NHL 13 is pretty sweet...haven't played it too much yet, and not too different than last year, from what I can tell.

Yeah, it's solid.

Yeah, school is killing me, so I don't get too much time to play either.

That said I still lead my club in games played and points.

The trading system seems to be somewhat improved, and it now shows you who the team would like to get rid of, and who on your team they covet.

I'm playing the games in the AHL right now, so I haven't got to the off-season. That'll be interesting.

Only cost me $65, arrived at my door this morning.

The ratings (particularly for prospects) are totally borked again, but no surprise there...just disappointing. For example, Silfverberg seemed to be rated pretty low, with not much "potential"...Z-Bad was similar, so was Lehner. The have Lehner and Bishop rated at 74 and 73 respectively, with not much "potential"...for comparison, Auld gets a 77 or 78 rating (working from memory here).

Getting swamped with injuries in my first season...Latendresse just went down for 3 months with a concussion...DOH!

I find the skating feels really clunky, but I'm selling it to myself that it's more "realistic" than the arcade-y feel from years past. One thing is certainly more evident - it's easier to blow by defenders with speedy players if you get a step on them.
