What video game are you playing?

If you have RDR you can download an expansion pack via XBL or PSN, but if you don't have RDR you can rent/buy the stand-alone disc.

I am only about 1 hour in (took a break), I just defused the bomb in Megaton.

finally got into the current gen of consoles, got myself a 250 GB ps3, been alternating playing madden 11 and final fantasy 13, but am really itching for black ops, have heard it was amazing.

Get NHL 11.... a lot of mixed reaction if you read at the EA forums, but it's still a good game. I used to play in past games strictly offline in be a GM mode, but this year I have played 95% probably online with EASHL (EA Sports hockey League) which if you are unfamiliar is like their Be a Pro (BAP) mode, where you create a player and that is all you use. You play with friends or random people and you each control your own player. You work towards improving player with boosts and attribute points. It's awesome

I tried to play MAdden years ago and found it really confusing and complicated to play. Same with Baseball games.

madden 11 has really simplified things this time around, have only played be a pro though with my half back, and there is nothing hard about being a half back, hold onto the ball and run/break tackles, would not want to be a qb, would be a bit too much for me. as for nhl 11, hopefully soon I can get that, got my ps3 rigged up for wireless, but don't do much online with it other than the odd demo download and netflix (for which the selection is still pretty limited)

Well at least you get free online play with PS3. I do like XBOX but they charge you for everything.

I am anti xbox in every way, not really sure why, but just am lol, they don't have god of war, so that could have something to do with it, have that one burning a place on my shelf, need to get at it and play it, but with two kids, time is limited, do not want them to be subjected to that visual material, its been pretty nasty so far.

How pathetic am I? Looking at the ages (if they are correct) I was playing video games before most if not all of you were even born. Starting with the old legacy systems (Atari 2600) and now working my way up to a PS3 (but if you ask the kids it's only a blue ray player).

I just finished GOW III and loved it...I play the typical COD, but online i seem to get outmatched and have chalked it up to people using aiming bots rather than me sucking (how else do you explain a guy seeing and killing you from 1/2 across the map).

I'm playing Gran Tourismo right now with my son, and searching for that next game to captivate my attention.

was looking in the playstation store to see if I could at least get a demo of nhl 11 to play, didn't find one, how disappointing, can't justify to my better half the money to pay for it right now

There isn’t a demo out for the PS3? There must be! I know there was one on the 360. Have you tried looking online (Used Ottawa/Kijiji/Ebay) for a used copy? You could probably find one fairly cheap…or there’s always the EB Games used section as well (although the discounts there can be minimal).

I will be the first to admit, I am new to searching through the playstation store, but went alphabetically through PS3 games and I didn't notice it, I have an EB Games nearby in Moncton, but yeah, the discount will probably be minimum, oh well, tax time is coming, maybe I will fetch a decent return and can justify it then, but think games vs home repairs will be a losing cause lol.

I had an Atari 2600. Represent.

I am also old enough to vividly remember the CollecoVision and the Intellivision. Still for me, the best two systems ever were the NES and the SNES. Games today are way too damn complicated. NHL 11 has like 70 buttons (or button combos) to remember. What the hell ever happened to 2-3 buttons? Shoot, pass, change player. That's all you really need!
