Yeah he's really good. Weird trade for Oakland that had better pay off for them.

Disagree there son, you can be a Jays fan and still hate the leafs. C'mon now.

Same team, different sport
Way off base there man.

Nah, lol, I'm not.  I get that you guys are a fan of the only Canadian club but it's the same city with the same failures on the same level.  Teams are exactly the same, the only difference is you remember their last championship but as time moves on it 1993 will be the same as 1967.

That's fine... but don't link cheering for the Jays with cheering for the Leafs. I'll Cussing cut you.

The Jays are a lot like the Senators, not the Leafs. Tons of young guys coming up that'll hopefully mix with the veterans.

It's amazing to think of what the Jays rotation could look like next season:

1.Burhle
2.Stroman
3.Sanchez
4.Dickey
5.Norris

BP, long relief: Hutchinson and Happ.

LOL you kidding me?

Not at all. AA came in and revamped the scouting team, so they now have major assets in their system, including 3 powerhouse pitching prospects in Sanchez, Norris and Stroman. They unfortunately gave one away in the Dickey trade, but there's nothing we can do about that now.

They need very specific pieces going into next season, but I don't really want to discuss it with you to be honest.

It's completely different in baseball lol. You don't have half the conference making it.

no you, don't, but there's no reason they can't be competitive every year like the Rays

Less teams make it but somehow every team in the league has made it to the playoffs in the last 20 years aside from 2... Jays and Royals and one is going to snap that this year. I could honestly care less about baseball but I just wanted to point out from a completely outside perspective you are saying the exact same things and Leaf fans do about the Jays... you have fallen into the same trap. Just sayin'

We're also in the toughest division in baseball. It is what it is. This is one of the first times we've been able to spend even near what the Yankees and the Sox have spent while developing our own talent.

We'll see what happens. Luckily for me baseball is just a distraction until hockey starts again.

Irrelevant to this discussion.

I'm simply objecting to you equating cheering for the Jays as cheering for the leafs. That's where I draw the line.

Hey Shabbs, way to dump ice water on yourself.  Shame you couldn't find a bigger bucket.  Man, your little one is all grown up.  I've got one headed to university in a few days.

Hey Prags, how much does university tuition run these days?

P.S., the Blue Jays really stink.

Depends on the program and the university. Engineering is generally more than science (or art). Bigger names more expensive. Apart from tuition, there's the cost of residence, books, food to consider. Some universities have better coop placement stats than others.

You ave more parameters than that? Very rough figure, $15k per year for engineering degree, books, residence and meal plan included. Entrance scholarships help ($3k per year if you have 85% and above, I think, goes up $1k for each additional 5%, and an extra $1k for French concentration).
