How is Boston not going to be in the race next year?

Especially if Lester signs.

They're no question going to be better than the Yankees and Jays IMO.

Easy, Boston and NYY, one could be better (or finish) higher than the other and no one would be surprised. There is no sure thing with either of those teams in terms of who will be better and who won't be.

Jays could finish in the basement no problem next year.

We'll see, I think Toronto's ahead of them by a fair bit personally.

Yankees have too many injured vets and not much in terms of the future. Let's see how they fare without Jeter.

They need to spend big money on young free agents if they want to contend.

Pitching will be key for both NYY and BOS

Not really, I just hate the sport and hate the Jays with it.  Shoved down my throat every single year during the summer, it's awful.  Fact is I was a way better ball player than I ever was a hockey player and I guess that happens when your father was playing pro ball in Phillies org. (and is a complete jerk when it came to the sport) #daddyissues

Matter of time before Tulowitzki is there for Jeter.

There are a few players that could be out there this summer that the Jays better be in on aggressively, or there might be big problems, but the core of the starting lineup + Stroman and Burhle are solid.

But yah he was caught behind on the depth chart at 3rd base in the early 70's... apparently Philly had a decent prospect/player at that time who played there, lol.

Schmidt was one of my favorites not playing for the Expos.

Why is this thread so quiet? I thought the Blue Jays were on the verge of breaking through and the Royals were going to crash and burn? WTF?

Something with the air in Toronto. The Leafs in February/March, the Leafs in August/September.
