I wish we could play the Cubs every game from here on out. We'd make it for sure. That's pretty much the worst team I've seen this year - worse than Houston because they beat us a few times I think. Terrible.

This is nuts. Stanton gets hit in the face with a fastball and gets stretchered off the field. Umpire calls it a strike (bat went over plate, sure, but after the ball did its damage, so a lot of the motion is from trying to get out of the way). Next pitch hits the batter who replaces him. Also called a strike, ending the inning.

Both "strikes" are result of a ball way high and way inside and the batter trying to move out of the way. This ump needs some retraining.

And he apparently yelled an obscenity at the other bench (something like "Come on, this is ****in' bull****!"). Not sure if that was after the first beaner or the second one. This is the American League, so he never has to stand in the batter's box, at least not until the World Series (and he'd never face the same team).

So as I declared on Apr 28, their season is OVER. Officially eliminated from playoff contentio last night.

Jays beat up King Hernandez pretty bad last night. Seattle's season is almost over too. Hard to believe Hernandez hasn't seen post season action. One of the best in the game currently.

Yeah, they choked pretty good - the mariners that is. The jays choked months ago.
