why don't they ever purge their players when it's clear they're out of it? They should have purged Dickey and Beurhle last year

Haha worst part is a lot of Canada falls into the EXACT SAME TRAP as the Leaf fans do. Anyways, I am just laughing from the side because it's pretty funny. Worst team in baseball over the last 20 years. (consistently)

I got a case of beer (or two cases of Pellegrino for me) riding on them making the playoffs. That is my only investment. HA HA!

For sure, teams in a playoff spot, moral is high, he starts yapping about not doing enough, lol. Cancer, don't care how many dingers he hits.

I wouldn't just blame Bautista. A bunch of them said it.

They can still make trades so it will be interesting to see if they make one. Should package Lawrie for something

Like a major league 3rd baseman who can hit.

Center field might be the biggest hole, followed by an ace, followed by a 2B, followed by a 3B unless Lawrie can get healthy.

Even if they miss this year it doesn't matter that much. We'll need some additions though.

well this was their year given the weakness of the division. Next year Boston's pitching staff will be improved and they will be going for guys like Stanton, Yankees will probably do something, Rays will probably surprise with young guys again

Montreal will make the playoffs before the Jays... seriously.

Jays are ahead of Boston and Tampa by a lot. I don't see them as threats personally. The Jays need to do what they should have done this off-season - get 2 starters - including one 'ace', get rid of Rasmus and replace him with a guy who can hit for average and power and get a 2B.

Next year it's down to Baltimore, NY and Toronto in that division - and yes, I admit, it'll be bloody.

No they aren't. Tampa might have the best scouting in the majors and Boston is Boston, they can re-tool on the fly no problem and compete for a world series. Toronto, well if they play meaningful games in May it's considered a successful season.

How is Boston not going to be in the race next year?

Especially if Lester signs.

They're no question going to be better than the Yankees and Jays IMO.

Easy, Boston and NYY, one could be better (or finish) higher than the other and no one would be surprised. There is no sure thing with either of those teams in terms of who will be better and who won't be.

Jays could finish in the basement no problem next year.

We'll see, I think Toronto's ahead of them by a fair bit personally.
