Too long IMO. They have him and Zetterberg on extremely long term deals. It migth comme back to bite them.

Not a great deal to be honest. For that length, at his age, I thought for sure it would be 3.2-3.5 a year.

Not horrible, not fantastic though.

I have. He's gonna be good, but replacing Lidstrom is a tall order.

I have. He's gonna be good, but replacing Lidstrom is a tall order.

Then you know why I said he is Lidstrom's potential replacement. As you have already seen, Ericsson has the tools...and he's one big kid.

Smile Yeah, he's a big dude. Replacing Lidstrom is never going to happen. Getting a guy that's 2/3rds as good is their best bet. Whether this kid is the guy still is a long, long way off from being a reality.

Anybody stepping into Lidstrom's skates is a HUGE challenge...but watch this kid Ericsson. He has it all. And he has Nick to teach him all the tricks in the next few years.
