Clouston certainly seems to be doing and saying all the right things. Really looking forward to next season with him behind the bench.

With my team out of contention, I'd rather a canadian team have a crack at the cup over just about any american team (except Detroit).
I do think the Canadiens will look completely different next year with so many FA's, this may be their last kick at it for a while

Bee, are you suggesting the Habs have a crack at the Cup?
PS with Khabby as your avatar, isn't it heresy on your part to be a closet Wings fan LOL?
:KJK:
Leaf fans have simmered in the past year or so as reality sets in for them and Habs fans have gone to ultia-obnoxious levels I've never seen before, as far as I'm concerned. The whole Jesus Price, 100th anniversary, we got the All-Star game, we got the Draft, we are the best, give us the Cup, why bother even competing crap from their fans certainly put them on the top of my hate list.beedub wrote:I am surprised at the level of anti-Habs sentiment out there. I find they tend to forget history and the bad times very quickly, and once things start to look up for their team, they're all over it and pissin' on everyone else's team.Jordo wrote:shabbs wrote:Leaf fans have simmered in the past year or so as reality sets in for them and Habs fans have gone to ultia-obnoxious levels I've never seen before, as far as I'm concerned. Yeah absolutely. I was just in an argument with a good friend who is a DIE hard habs fan... and he called Ottawa "no more than an expansion team that hasn't done anything". It angered me to all new levels. His only defense was that they won a cup in 1993, and that was apparently his victory. Nothing about what they've done since (Cuz they haven't done anything). I had to seriously leave the conversation because I was so frustrated.
Anyways, without Schneider or Markov tonight- their PP is Diddle. Could be grounds for a victory tonight. Let's see how it plays out.

Rooting for the Leafs or Habs is a tough one though... and these days, I'd be rooting for the Leafs ahead of the Habs if it came down to it. I'm not even sure I'd root for the Habs if they were the last Canadian team left.
Harsh? Maybe... it's just how I feel.

I understand and can certainly relate to the sentiment that a Canadian team winning the cup is preferable. However, I can't help but feel selfish in thinking it should be the Sens first. It would sting me if another Canadian team won the cup before Ottawa. Once Ottawa wins a cup I may be able to route for another Canadian team should the scenario we find ourselves in occurs again.
