Words cannot describe it.

I remember that one too. I was in a bar, just outside Buffalo. It was awesome. The Sabres fans were very graceful.

Good idea, I've been thinking about something like this for a while.

Bring in any topic, any time, any team and I'm sure you'll get a big time discussion going in here.

Sticky this Clutch!

EDIT: Ah ha, I see you already did.

I still remember game one against New Jersey in '98. Bruce Gardiner scored the OT winner in game 1. I was at the bingo hall will my wife and my walkman. They had to stop the bingo cause myself and a few others were jumping up and down and screaming. Awesome!!

Yeah I was game 1 of the year we lost to the Devils in the East finals.. When Shaun Van Allen scored on a beauty pass from Havlat in Overtime, the place just exploded, never had I heard an Ottawa crowd that loud! I was proud that night! it's too bad we lost the next 3 games though! LOL

That game 7 was the biggest heartbreaker for me. That Friesen goal with about 2 mins left nearly brought me to tears. The team has fought back to tie it up (Bonk) and had all the momentum. I still loathe Friesen to this day.

Never say never Matt. They could surprise you. Playing scared can sometimes help shake a team back to reality. Hey Sens - Your not an Elite team anymore.

Woohoo. Two gold stars for me :D

Not wise, just always have a positive slant on the Sens. If you ever start feeling negative about them and need a lift just read my blogs or I'll cheer you up with a little positve outlook :D

I was getting pretty down on them. It's amazing what one decisive victory can do (for now).

Keep the faith dude. Just remember the season they had from October to December in 06/07 and what happened after that. They should turn it around with the talent they have. Give them a top six forward and get decent goaltending from Auld and Elliot and we should do OK this season. I'm not kidding myself into thinking we could go to the Finals this season but we should be able to make the playoffs and get out of the first round anyway right?

On paper this team is still a contender IMO. If they can come together, gel, and buy into a system there's telling how far they could go.

On paper, they're not that much worse than the team that made it to the finals that year. However, while we've seen how well this group can perform, we've also seen the other end of that spectrum.

To me, this team could end up anywhere from last to first to anywhere in between, and I have no idea what to expect anymore.

I couldn't agree more. I think Hartsburg's message may just finally be getting through to the players. If this team worked as hard as a team like Washington they'd be elite right now.

We've got a lot of heart-and-soul hard working players. It's not a stretch to think we could play at the same level as Washington (effort wise).

The problem is it's very taxing mentally and physically to be at that level all the time.
