a) How does he "deserve" to be in the NHL when he clearly isn't good enough?
b) How does this suprise anyone? Did you guys just miss every game he played for us? The last people who should be surprised by this are Sens fans.
c) Calder Cup? Gerber?? No. He lets in just as many weaks goals in the 'A' as he did here, so I'm told. If they're going to win the Calder, they will do it on Elliott's back (who better be on the clear day roster!! It means he has to be sent down, but he can be immediately recalled until the end of the season, or so I'm told...)

Just a note that Spezza's brother was in nets at practice today, as Auld had the flu.

Enroth maybe, Lalime no, we been down that road before. but for 500k, why not, that is a drop in the bucket.

I'd take Lalime over Gerber, anyday, including today... both had a knack for giving up softies in Ottawa, but I think Gerber may have given up a few more in a shorter period of time.

Of course Lalime is on the hook for probably the two biggest softies in franchise history... but on the whole Gerbs is on the hook for giving up more in total in my opinion.

Plus Lalime, flu and all put in a solid 31 save effort in a 2-1 shoot out loss last night.

Buffalo is holding on for their playoff lives, but they were in that position with Miller for most of the way, I doubt you could place the blame on your back up if you fall out now. Gerber isn't coming in to be any kind of saviour. May as well save the 400,000 and take your chances with Patty. Luckily for the Sabres, the Rags are even worse, so if anyone ends up falling out to make room for another team, I think its the Rags (unless of course the Pens and Canes both make a charge.)

I think the Rags, Pens and Habs are all going down in FLAMES!
This year's post-season will be VERY interesting to say the least.

With the lack of movement, as promised by Murray earlier in the week, and the corresponding anticipation. I would say that it feels like Buzz Killington has visited this forum.

There's plenty of legitimate teams we can lose to. No need to deny ourselves the pleasure of beating the hated Buds.

As much of a fan of tank nation as i am i cant stand losing to the leafs we win saturday then can resume losing

A Leaf win is better for us. Sure, it's nice beating the Leafs, but they have more points than us, and it would be nice to help ensure that doesn't change.

I don't think i'll be able to openly cheer for the leafs. If we lose, I'll be able to accept that as what is best for this team, but my heart will still feel as though it isn't right. This predicament is going to force me to drink heavily tonight.
